There’s been a wave of mis-information spreading online recently about Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
First it was smears about their views of the Iran/Israel War that did not accurately reflect what they’ve stated publicly or what they actually believe.
With that war now over and no longer in the news cycle, the smears have now moved on to Zorhan Mamdani, and once again they do not accurately reflect what Tucker and MTG have stated publicly or what they actually believe.
And I really hate to see it coming from people like my good friend Shawn Farash, who I genuinely like and respect and agree with most of the time — but I’m sorry Shawn, this is just factually not correct what you stated here:
Tucker and MTG praising Zorhan Mamdani…
These two are becoming insufferable…

Same goes for Eyal Yakoby, whoever you are:
The fact that Tucker Carlson is openly praising Zohran Mamdani is wild.

I’m not sure if there’s an intent to undermine Tucker and MTG, and I’m certainly not here to tell you everything these two say is 100% accurate.
Even they wouldn’t tell you that.
Tucker has stated many times before that he’s been very wrong in the past and changed his mind of several things.
I think that’s what an intelligent mind does, it comes to new conclusions when presented with new information.
You shouldn’t change your morals or values or closely held beliefs, but if new evidence shows you’ve clearly been on the wrong side of a policy issue, you should adapt and change.
But let’s get back to the topic at hand because I don’t know what is going on here but it’s just factually incorrect and demonstrably untrue to say that Tucker and MTG are “openly praising” Zorhan Mamdani.
I watched the entire interview, and they both say very clearly multiple times that of course they don’t like him and don’t support any of his policies. They said that extremely clearly, and you should really know that just instinctively. That’s not hard to figure out.
But the point they were making, which is the same exact point that Chamath and the other “besties” made on the All-In Podcast this week, is that the reason Mamdani is resonating with people and shooting up the charts is because he’s doing on thing very clearly and very well — he’s saying that he will represent New York first. That’s his job.
BESTIES ARE BACK!
huge week:
— 12 day war ends in us-led ceasefire
— how markets digested it + future of the region
— why socialism won in nyc, what it means for the democratic establishment
— stocks hit all-time highs completing wild turnaround

How he does that is what we all completely disagree on, but the political analysis point to be made here is that there is a sea-change happening in politics and the candidates that have figured out the very simple point of putting the people you represent first is a winning message.
That’s what Tucker and MTG were saying.
It all arose in the context of a debate question the Mayoral candidates were asked about what foreign country they would visit first if elected as NYC Mayor.
Answers ranged from the predictable Ukraine to Israel.
But Mamdani stole the show by saying he would stay in New York City because that’s the job.
Game-changer.
Debate over.
That’s what people want to hear.
Will he ultimately be good for the City? HELL NO! It will be a disaster and NYC will be greatly harmed and many will leave the state.
But the point here is a broader political analysis to pinpoint why he is resonating with people.
It was the same for President Trump by way…remember America First?
Mamdani is, on one level, simply running the playbook that got Trump elected twice (three times?).
Heck, even Bernie Sanders fits into this category.
Bernie and Mamdani are admitted socialists who will destroy this country, but their messaging is a populist America-First / New York City-first message and that’s a winning message.
It’s quite frankly stunning how many people and politicians don’t understand this or haven’t learned yet.
So stop with all the nonsense that Tucker is “praising” Mamdani.
He did nothing of the sort.
And if that’s all you took away from that, or if you only watched an edited soundbite, then you might not be intellectually equipped enough for these types of conversations.
Be better.
