New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was critically wounded in a shooting in New York City early Sunday morning.

The 29-year-old is now in stable condition at Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital after being shot in the abdomen at a Midtown restaurant.

“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” a rep for the team said, according to the New York Post.

More from the New York Post:

Boyd was shot in the abdomen outside Sei Less restaurant after a dispute turned violent, with the gunmen firing two shots, law enforcement sources told The Post.

The sources said Boyd was with a group of friends outside the trendy hot spot when the dispute broke out, ending with shots fired — but it is unclear if he was the intended target.

The sources said the shooter fled the scene in a BMW X6 SUV — but witnesses were uncooperative with cops.

A second vehicle, a high-end silver Mercedes-Benz Mayback, also fled the scene after the shooting, the sources said.

Photos from the scene also show a Rhino GX, a luxury armored SUV manufactured by US Specialty Vehicles that sells for up to $300,000, parked outside the restaurant after police arrived.

Boyd lapsed in and out of consciousness before he was rushed to the hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

“Everybody please send prayers to my brother and teammate Kris Boyd and his family!!! Lord please hold your healing hand over Kris and guide him back to health and safety,” Jets linebacker Jermaine Johnson II said.

“Lord I ask that you please just get him through this safely. In your name, Amen,” he added.

Police officers said the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.

ESPN noted:

New York City Mayor Eric Adams also said in a message posted on social media that he was praying for Boyd and his loved ones.

Boyd is in his first season with the Jets after signing a one-year, $1.6 million contract in free agency but hasn’t played after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in the preseason.

Boyd, a cornerback, was a seventh-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2019. He spent four seasons with the Vikings before playing for the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans.
