Multiple news outlets say they have received what may be a possible ransom note from the suspected kidnappers of Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother, three days after the 84-year-old was taken from her Tucson, Arizona, home.

On Tuesday, TMZ revealed in a video that they received an email earlier in the morning demanding “a specific substantial amount of Bitcoin” in exchange for Nancy Guthrie. The requested amount of cryptocurrency the alleged kidnappers want is reportedly in the millions.

The email included a specific Bitcoin address, which TMZ verified as legitimate. The alleged ransom note also detailed the crime scene left behind at Nancy’s home. It concluded with a deadline for the ransom to be paid “or else.”

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed on X that they are aware of the possible ransom note(s) received by TMZ and the local Tucson TV station KOLD involving Nancy Guthrie.

The note(s) were addressed during Tuesday’s press conference after Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos refused to answer questions from reporters regarding if ransom demands had been made.

“We are aware of reports circulating about possible ransom note(s) regarding the investigation,” Sheriff Nanos said in a statement. “We are taking all tips and leads very seriously. Anything that comes in, goes directly to our detectives who are coordinating with the FBI.”
