New York Gov. Kathy Hochul went on MSNBC to say voting Republican makes you “anti-woman” and “anti-American.”

“It gave me a chance to tie the Republicans running in these seats, the incumbents closer to Donald Trump, and remind everybody, if you’re voting for these Republicans in New York, you are voting for someone who supports Donald Trump and you’re anti-woman, you’re anti-abortion and basically you’re anti-American because you have just trashed American values and what our country is all about over and over and over,” Hochul said.

WATCH:

“@KathyHochul is an embarrassment to our state — completely incoherent and incapable of leading. Attacking New Yorkers who support President Trump as un-American? She previously told New Yorkers who didn’t agree with her to move to Florida. I’m shocked her favorables are so low,” Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) commented.

New York looks to play a formidable role in shaping which party controls the House of Representatives.

According to the New York Post, the GOP holds a slim 220-212 lead in the House, and the Empire State has seven competitive House races.

Congressional Democrats lost four New York seats in the 2022 mid-term elections.

Thus, New York’s congressional election results could sway the majority to either party.

From the New York Post:

If Democrats fail to regain control of the House, it would be a “national embarrassment” for Gov. Kathy Hochul, state Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs, and House Minority Leader and Brooklyn Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, said longtime Democratic political strategist Hank Sheinkopf.

“New York will again be blamed again for destroying Democrats’ chance to take control of Congress,” he said.

Republicans are gaining steam in suburban parts of the predominantly Democratic Empire State — in part because of New York’s sanctuary city laws, he added.

“There’s a general fear in the suburbs that migrants, New York City crime and chaos will seep across the Nassau County border, across the Westchester County border and into the Hudson Valley,” he said.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) claimed “New York is in play.”

President Trump is polling ahead in New York swing districts where Joe Biden won by 15 points in some cases. I urge all New Yorkers to get out and vote early in-person to elect all of our incredible @NewYorkGOP candidates on your ballot!” Stefanik said Saturday.

“For the first time, New York is possibly in play for the presidential race and will certainly determine the House Majority,” Stefanik told Breitbart.

Per Breitbart:

Battleground races in New York could decide the balance of power in the House. In 2022, New York Republican victories enabled the GOP to clench control of the chamber. If Republicans defeat Democrats in 2024 and retain their seats, the party will have a strong chance of retaining a House majority.

All GOP-targeted districts have so far outperformed their historical 2022 turnout margins by as much as 50 percent, sources familiar with early vote data told Breitbart News. The districts reaching the 50 percent threshold are 4, 17, 18, and 19.

Sources tell Breitbart News the positive turnout is driven by support for former President Donald Trump and House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) ground game operation.

Stefanik has now spent nearly $3 million dollars on early vote efforts between her House GOP battleground fund, the NRCC, and NYGOP, per one source familiar with the effort.

Stefanik’s ground game during the 2022 midterms is widely credited for handing Republicans control of the House and preventing the Biden-Harris administration from passing more legislation to fuel inflation and enact amnesty measures.
