Three people, including a six-year-old boy, have been hospitalized after a 37-year-old woman drove her minivan through a Labor Day Festival in Pennsylvania.

The horrific incident happened at the Kipona Festival in Harrisburg.

Police said it’s unclear if the act was intentional.

“Witnesses state police were running behind the a red minivan while the situation was unfolding and now have the driver in custody,” journalist Nick Sortor wrote.

More from the New York Post:

The driver swerved around the barricade and barreled down the street around 6 p.m., striking two adults and a young boy, Harrisburg police officials and Mayor Wanda Williams said.

The child is in critical condition, the mayor said. The two adults, a wheelchair-bound woman and a man working for the city’s traffic engineering department, were also injured, but are in stable condition.

The male victim was reportedly trying to stop the crazed woman when he was struck, according to the mayor.

The erratic motorist then sped down five whole blocks while crashing into “everything in her way,” CBS 21 News reported.

The driver, a blond woman wearing a T-shirt that read “Mom Son Team,” was arrested at the scene, officials said.

The annual three-day event celebrates the region’s Native American heritage.

Vendors were taking down their stalls while attendees made their final purchases during the festival’s conclusion when the terrifying incident occurred.

Fox News noted:

Just before the crash, police were reportedly clearing the area because the festival was coming to an end. Venders were also packing up after being setup on the road the van barreled down during the chaotic scene.

The Anna Rose Bakery & Coffee Shop posted on Facebook that its staffers witnessed the incident.

“We will be closed tomorrow on Tuesday, September 2nd,” the post read. “Members of our staff directly witnessed the tragic accident that happened today at Kipona and need time to process everything. We apologize and appreciate your understanding.”
