This one really has my blood boiling…
Tell me how insane this sounds to you.
Georgia mother Brittany Patterson was arrested for letting her 10-year-old son (some reports say 10, others say 11, but we’re going with 10) walk into town by himself — just one mile away.
Oh, did I mention the town only has 370 people in it?

Here’s the report from ABC News:
Brittany Patterson was arrested because her 10 year old son decided to walk less than a mile to the local store.
She was let off on the provision that she GPS tag her children.
How are you, @elonmusk, dealing with this ‘police state’ problem in the US? https://t.co/4F2nz5empe pic.twitter.com/X8vaOBcf3y

Let’s unpack this a little bit…
What you have here by all accounts is a GOOD family, healthy, well adjusted, strong.
Kids look happy and healthy.
Kid chose to get some exercise and fresh air and sunlight by walking into town, and that’s somehow now a problem in America?
Absolutely outrageous!
But let your kid stay inside, eating Cheetos and playing on an iPad for 8 hours straight and the State won’t bother you one bit.
Anyone else see a big problem here?
You can watch the arrest here from the bodycam footage:

Oh and the ultimate irony?
It happened on the day before Halloween!
You know, the day when MILLIONS of kids go walking around by themselves, knocking on strangers doors, eating candy from strangers, in the dark….of course that’s perfectly fine but a happy, healthy, strong 10-year-old boy walking into town in a town of 370 people during the daylight is a problem?
How did I miss this story??
This is Brittany Patterson, who was arrested and charged with “Reckless Endangerment” for letting her 10 year old walk to the Dollar Store. What mental illness is this ??

Whoever authorized this arrest needs to go to prison themselves!
For a very long time.
And they need to immediately lose their badge because they’re abused their power here in a very gross way.
ARREST THESE CROOKED COPS!
This is really the family you decide to arrest?
Not the violent migrants….
Not the South American drug gangs taking over entire cities…
No, they’re fine.
But this family is a real problem, right?
Losing track of your kids should not be a CRIME:https://t.co/JYG9ySI3Wx

I can’t tell you how angry I am covering this story right now….
The NY Post has more details:
A Georgia mom is refusing to strike a plea deal after she was arrested on child endangerment-related charges over her 10-year-old son’s unsupervised walk into town.
Brittany Patterson, 41, of Mineral Bluff, Ga., was arrested by the Fannin County Sheriff’s Department on Oct. 30 after she left her son alone at home and he wandered less than a mile into town, according to NBC News.
Brittany Patterson refused to strike a plea deal after she was arrested for child endangerment-related charges.
The Fannin County Sheriff’s Department initially called the mom to alert her to the fact that her son Soren was unaccompanied in the town located near the North Carolina border.
“It’s not a super dangerous or even dangerous-at-all stretch of road,” Patterson told the outlet, referring to the street that leads from their rural home to the town of Mineral Bluff. “I wasn’t terrified for him or scared for his safety.”
Deputies drove Soren home and, hours later, returned to handcuff and arrest her in front of her family.
Patterson was booked on suspicion of reckless conduct and posted a $500 bond, according to the report.
The mom said she was angered and frustrated that her children had to witness her being handcuffed and booked by police.
Patterson has rejected an offer to drop the charges, arguing they are entirely unwarranted.
The Sheriff’s Office has offered to drop charges if Patterson signs a form that outlines a safety plan for her kids, she and her lawyer say, according to NBC.
