NBC News had more details to add on the report:
Police are investigating an “intentional” explosion at a Harvard University medical building early Saturday morning.
A fire alarm at the Goldenson Building, part of Harvard’s medical campus in Boston, went off at 2:48 a.m. A Harvard University Police Department officer who responded to the call saw two “unidentified individuals fleeing from the building,” Harvard police said in a statement.
The explosion occurred on the fourth floor the building.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The explosion “appeared to be intentional,” according to an initial assessment by the Boston Fire Department’s arson unit.
The Boston Police Department also responded and conducted a sweep of the building for any additional devices, but none were found.
The university released photos on Saturday evening of two individuals captured on CCTV footage. One was depicted wearing a balaclava, and the other wearing a hoodie with the hood raised and a face covering.
The university asked for the public’s help in identifying the individuals.
The explosion is under investigation by the Harvard University Police Department along with local, state and federal law enforcement partners.

CBS was able to get a comment from a student who heard the blast:
Joey Awad was asleep when he said he heard a bang.
“Like I felt it in my body,” Awad said. “Was really scared, my heart was racing and then I tried to fall asleep and then like five minutes later, I heard another bang.”
According to Harvard University Planning and Design, the Goldenson Building was constructed in 1906. It is one of several Harvard buildings on the Boston campus surrounding the HMS Quad Lawn.
