He’s definitely not like his late grandfather!

The grandson of the late President John F. Kennedy is considering running to replace Rep. Jerry Nadler, who announced he will not seek reelection.

Jack Schlossberg recently revealed to reporters that he has not ruled out running for New York’s 10th Congressional District and that he may enter the race.

The Independent reported more in-depth

Jack Schlossberg, the social media star and grandson of President John F. Kennedy, is considering running for Congress next year to replace longtime Democratic stalwart Rep. Jerrold Nadler, who announced his retirement plans earlier this week.

Schlossberg, 32, has never held public office, but told The New York Times on Tuesday that it was “certainly a possibility” he would run to fill Nadler’s seat, a highly prized New York City district spanning the center of Manhattan.

The 32-year-old Yale and Harvard graduate, the son of former diplomat Caroline Kennedy, has risen to fame in recent years, mixing political commentary and social media influencing, including serving as a political correspondent for Vogue during the 2024 election. He currently hosts a political commentary show on YouTube, recording episodes from inside his van.

Schlossberg is also a regular, scathing critic of family member Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the Trump administration’s Health and Human Services secretary and the 32-year-old’s cousin.

Nadler announced his retirement plans in an interview with The New York Times published Monday, describing a need to pass his seat to the next generation of leaders after watching Democrats lose as an ailing Joe Biden ceded his 2024 campaign to Kamala Harris.

Schlossberg has been very vocal on social media in recent years and has spent the majority of his time mocking conservatives.

Last month, he filmed a distasteful video of himself mocking First Lady Melania Trump.

Take a look:

The Daily Mail reported more details on Jack Schlossberg’s actions:

John F. Kennedy heir Jack Schlossberg brutally mocked First Lady Melania Trump over her letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The 32-year-old donned an ill-fitting blonde wig and imitated the first lady’s Slovenian accent as he read her message in a video posted to his social media pages on Sunday.

‘A message from our BEAUTIFUL FIRST LADY,’ Schlossberg captioned his video, mimicking President Donald Trump’s affinity to capitalize certain words for emphasis.

He also parroted the president’s usual sign off, writing: ‘thank you for your attention to this matter – We want peace.’

After reading the letter aloud, Schlossberg said, ‘What am I saying? This makes no sense. Please be more specific Miss Melania Trump.’

He then took off the wig and dropped the accent as he added his own thoughts on the first lady’s letter.

‘I don’t think it made any sense,’ Schlossberg told his hundreds of thousands of followers. ‘I don’t think it said anything beyond “melodic laughter,” that’s the only thing I could remember – and that she is calling on Putin to end the war.

‘Interesting. Maybe she could talk to someone who could do something about that,’ he said, referring to the president, who sat down with Putin in Alaska on Friday to negotiate an end to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
