I can’t stop watching the Tucker Carlson / Ted Cruz interview…

I’ve watched it twice and each time I’m blown away by so many things.

Here’s the full video in case you missed it, and then scroll down and I’m going to go deep on all my thoughts after watching.

I won’t hide the ball, I think Tucker Carlson was masterful, absolutely masterful.

It is possibly the best interview I’ve ever seen, because Tucker did what all of us would do if we had the chance to ask these questions…

No softballs.

But no attack either.

Just one rational question after another.

It might have FELT like an attack to Ted Cruz, but it wasn’t.

I’ve watched it twice, it wasn’t anything remotely resembling an attack or “gotcha” questions, although I’ve seen many describe it as such.

It wasn’t.

It was a journalist asking really basic and common sense questions, and stacking them one after another, and Ted Cruz just starts spinning and offering completely IRRATIONAL and nonsensical answers.

It was painful to watch for Ted, masterful for Tucker.

There was another dead giveaway…

Whenever you see/hear someone saying “Let me be clear, because words matter” you can take it to the bank that person is lying.

Remember how Barack Obama used to say that all the time?  I sure do.

Even Joe Biden had his own version of the phrase.

Ted Cruz said it at least five times in this interview, a sign he was distressed, outmatched and lying right to your face.

Here’s one example:

Another way you can tell when someone is lying (or to put it nicer, not being fully transparent with the truth) is when they keep trying to divert to other topics.

Ted did that throughout this entire interview.

In the clip above, Tucker asks him about Netanyahu saying that Iran tried and failed to Assassinate President Trump twice — Crooks and Routh.

Ted says he “misspoke”.

It was twice, but it wasn’t Crooks and Routh.

Then he says he has known for at least two years that Iran has hitmen in the United States trying to kill President Trump.

Tucker asks what proof he has and Cruz diverts to other individuals, like John Bolton, who apparently had a hitman living next to him, but he never provided any proof whatsoever of Trump and he tried desperately to drive the conversation anywhere else other than Trump.

Then Tucker says ok, let’s take you at your word, you’re convinced Iran has hired hitmen on US-soil to try and kill President Trump.  If that’s true, we should be at war with Iran immediately.

Again Cruz deflects and Tucker asks the rational question why we aren’t immediately at war with Iran over that fact.

Cruz deflects by saying the hitmen are “not very good”.

And on and on it went, the entire interview — Tucker asking basic and rational questions, connecting basic logic, and Cruz derailing with answers that made zero rational sense.

Now the big one…

Tucker pressed Cruz on why it appears his support for Israel is greater than his support for the USA.

Cruz doesn’t deny it, but tries to claim it’s because the Bible tells him he has to.

NOTE: I want to be very clear right now about one thing, and I have said this is countless articles in the past.  I support Biblical Israel.  I support the Biblical Jewish people.  Period, full stop.  We clear on that?

SECOND NOTE:  I don’t know the answers to all of these questions.  Like Tucker, I’m just asking questions and researching and showing you what I’ve found.

That said, I think Tucker’s question here is a really good one:  Is the Nation God calls Israel the same as the current Nation-state of Israel today?

In fact, I asked my good friend Jovan Pulitzer this exact same question the last time he was on my show (and for those who don’t know, Jovan is Jewish).

Watch this exchange here, it’s stunning:

Again, Cruz’s answer collapses upon simple follow-up inquiry from Tucker as Tucker presses him on his firmly held beliefs:  You believe the Bible tells you you have to support Israel, do you know where it even says that?

Silence.

Cruz didn’t even know the Chapter in the Bible or exactly what the verse says.

So allow me to fill in the gaps.

It actually appears twice, first in Genesis 12:3:

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

And later, repeated by the pagan prophet Balaam in Numbers 24:9:

“May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”

Now let’s examine these for a minute.

I think the most commonly known version of this promise is the one in Genesis 12:3 and I would venture to guess most don’t know about Numbers 24:9.

Let’s examine Genesis 12:3.

For those who don’t know their Bible, the quote is God speaking directly to Abraham.

It doesn’t say Israel, it says Abraham and it refers to his descendants.

Yes, Israel is in that line of descendants, but at the time this was spoken Israel/Jacob did not exist.  Did you know that?

Israel would not come to exist for another 200-250 years in the future.

Now flash-forward to the reiteration of that promise in Numbers 24:9 and Israel does now exist and the promise is reiterated in the context of Israel.

So the real question is….is the current Nation-state of Israel, which was established in 1948 by the Rothschilds, the same as Biblical Israel?

That’s the million-dollar question and that’s what Tucker asked Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz had no idea.

So allow me to fill in the gaps.

First of all, let’s start with the idea that modern day Israel was “founded” in large part by the Rothschilds family, and so my guard is immediately up and I’m skeptical:

  • The Balfour Declaration (1917) was addressed to Lord Walter Rothschild, recognizing his key role in British Zionist efforts and symbolizing Rothschild influence in securing British support for a Jewish homeland.

  • The Rothschilds, especially Walter and Lionel Walter, used their political connections to help gain international backing for Zionist goals.

  • Baron Edmond de Rothschild (French branch) began funding Jewish settlements in Ottoman Palestine in the 1880s—long before statehood.

  • He purchased land, founded over 30 agricultural communities, and developed infrastructure like wineries, schools, and hospitals.

  • In 1924, he transferred control of these efforts to PICA (Palestine Jewish Colonization Association), which managed over 125,000 acres and supported thousands of settlers.

  • The land and infrastructure Rothschilds funded became part of the core territory of the new State of Israel in 1948.

  • Their efforts laid the economic and logistical foundation for mass Jewish immigration and permanent settlement.

  • Edmond de Rothschild’s legacy was honored when his remains were moved to Israel in 1954 and buried in Zikhron Ya’akov, one of the towns he helped found.

Now to the deeper question, is modern day Israel the same as Biblical Israel?

🔹 Short Answer:

No, not directly.

It’s a promise to the people, not to a specific political or geographical entity.

Genesis 12:3 and Numbers 24:9 do not specifically refer to the modern nation-state of Israel founded in 1948. They refer to the people of Israel, starting with Abraham and his descendants, not a political or geographical entity as it exists today.

🔍 Explanation by Verse:

✅ Genesis 12:3

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

  • Audience: God is speaking to Abram (later Abraham).

  • Meaning (in context): This is the beginning of the Abrahamic Covenant — a spiritual and ethnic promise to Abraham’s descendants (Israelites), and ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ according to Christian theology (Galatians 3:16).

  • Fulfillment: Many see this as:

✅ Numbers 24:9

“May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”

  • Spoken by Balaam, referring to Israel (the people) during the Exodus.

  • It reinforces God’s covenantal favor on the nation of Israel (descendants of Jacob) in a spiritual and nationalsense.

  • Again, this was about the people, not a future secular state.

📅 What About Modern Israel (1948)?

  • The modern state of Israel was established in 1948 as a political nation, largely by secular Zionists, following the Holocaust and British withdrawal from Palestine.

  • The Bible does not specifically prophesy 1948 by date — but many Christians (especially dispensationalists and some evangelicals) believe it was a partial fulfillment of end-times prophecy (e.g. Ezekiel 36–37, Isaiah 66:8).

  • However, others (including many theologians) caution that the biblical “Israel” and the modern political entityare not always the same thing.

🧭 Conclusion:

  • Genesis 12:3 and Numbers 24:9 are about God’s covenant with the people of Israel, not the political state formed in 1948.

  • Whether these verses apply to the modern state of Israel is interpreted differently depending on one’s theological framework.

So let’s sum things up…

Does Genesis 12:3 give a promise to Israel?  No.  It’s to Abraham and his descendants.

But that promise is later confirmed to flow to Israel later in Numbers 24.9.

But is our modern-day Israel the same as Biblical Israel?  I’ll leave that for you to decide.

Look, I’m not anti-Israel.  Far from it.

But I’d prefer to say I’m much more “pro Jewish people” rather than saying the current Nation-state of Israel, because I’m not entirely convinced that is a 1-for-1 match with Biblical Israel.

And no, it’s not due to the leadership.

If you read your Bible, the Israel of the Old Testament most of the time had horrible leaders!  And that never disqualified the promise from God.

So it’s not about bad leadership.

I’m just not sure you can draw a straight line from the Israel described in Genesis and Numbers to the Israel founded in 1948 largely by the Rothschild family.

I also think it’s quite strange that many/most members of Congress seem to place their loyalty and devotion to Israel higher than their devotion to the USA.

I do think that’s 100% wrong.

You’re elected to serve America and Americans, not a foreign country.  I don’t care which foreign country we’re talking about, even Israel.  Your #1 duty to should be to Americans.  Period.  Full stop.  End.

I also think this is quite strange and problematical:

WE INVESTIGATE: Why Do 38 States Have Laws Requiring a “Loyalty Pledge” To Israel?

And I’ll end with this….something I wrote a while ago.

Never forget that the USA does not “keep” Israel.

God — YHWH — keeps Israel.

Now let’s go to perhaps the best expert on this topic we’ve ever had, Dr. Michael S. Heiser.

Keep reading and I think this is going to blow your mind and give you a TON of Biblical history you probably had no idea about.

This is good stuff, please enjoy:

The USA Does Not Keep Israel, YHWH Does!

Why do I have a flaming fire at the top of this article?

Because I need to introduce you to someone named YHWH: “For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God” (Deuteronomy 4:23-24).

And do you know what the Bible says about Israel?

It says a lot.

But it makes one thing very clear….

It never says the United States of America is to keep Israel safe, to be it’s protector.

Sorry folks, not in the Bible.

No, it’s much better than that!

Much more powerful!

Read Deuteronomy 32:9 — “Israel is the LORD’s portion…”

He divided up all the nations and gave them to the Sons of God, but Israel he kept for himself.

Biblical scholars call it “Cosmic Geography”.

Read Psalm 121:

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—

    he who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel

    will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—

    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day,

    nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—

    he will watch over your life;

the Lord will watch over your coming and going

    both now and forevermore.

It is the LORD who keeps Israel and watches over Israel, and he isn’t slumbering or sleeping.

He’s still on the throne, and spoiler alert, he doesn’t need a bunch of corrupt War-Mongering politicians from America to help him out!

So let’s be very clear….

I support and honor Israel.

But I am not Israel’s defender, and neither is America.

That cheapens the role the Bible assigns to YHWH and I’m not all that interesting in trying to usurp his role.

It’s why I wrote this earlier this morning:

Time to clear something up.

Do I support Israel? Absolutely!

Always have, always will.

But understand you are currently in the midst of the most devious FF propaganda event I have ever witnessed.

Ukraine support finally waned after 2 years. But many in America will support Israel forever, until we are broke and desolute.

I bless Israel, I would never curse Israel. But understand the USA does not “keep” Israel. The Bible says GOD keeps Israel, and he neither slumbers nor sleeps. Read Psalm 121:4.

The USA is not Israel’s keeper.

Israel belongs to YHWH. Read Deuteronomy 32:9-19. Israel is the LORD’s portion.

USA does not guard Israel, The Most High does.

This is the most insidious propaganda I’ve ever had to navigate through, and whenever you find yourself in that position the absolute BEST thing you can do is find your north star center of truth.

And where do you find that?

In the Bible.

So that’s what I’ve done here and I hope this helps you.

We can honor and support Israel while at the same time staying out of a brand new war and keeping American taxpayer dollars HOME and helping Americans!

Now let’s go deeper….

Have you ever wondered why Israel is so special to God?

Why did he pick one Nation over all the rest?

WHY ISRAEL? It’s All About Cosmic Geography!

WHY ISRAEL? It’s All About Cosmic Geography!

For the past few weeks, I’ve been on a strange YouTube kick of watching old Dr. Michael Heiser videos.

You know how once you watch one video on something, then YouTube recommends all of those same videos to you for the next two weeks?

This is a Guest Post from our friends over at WLTReport.
