Clay Travis from Outkict scored the interview of a lifetime….
Getting to interview President Trump from aboard Air Force One.
And during that interview, President Trump admitted that he did believe Lee Harvey Oswald was the JFK shooter, but he questioned who else may have been involved.
The whole interview was fantastic, and I hope you enjoy it.
INTERVIEWER:
President Trump, getting to talk to you here on Air Force One is pretty incredible. Thank you, Caroline, for bringing us in.
I wanted to start with this—why do you think young men are so overwhelmingly coming in your direction?
I’ll give you an example. My sons—17, 14, and 10—did a test, a pre-election vote, at their all-boys school. You got 80% of the vote from 12 to 18-year-old young men and boys.
Why do you think they’re reacting this way? Why do you think it’s working so well?
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
Well, I guess it’s a lot of factors, right? Some I can’t say because I just—better I’m not saying.
But part of it is because it’s working. It’s all coming together. The country is coming together.
Today, one of the biggest chip companies—the biggest in the world—is spending $200 billion. Apple is spending $500 billion. Johnson & Johnson, yesterday, announced tens of billions of dollars in investments.
We have numbers like we’ve never seen before. There’s never been anything like this. I think they see it working.
The border has zero crossings. You know, outside of the border, the ground used to be so full of people, it would stretch miles deep into Mexico. Now? Not a person.
They even have someone sweeping it. It’s like nobody’s ever seen anything like it. And by the way, all it took was the President saying, “Don’t come.” We didn’t change the law—the laws were already there.
Advice for Kamala
INTERVIEWER:
Kamala Harris is talking about running for governor. Would you give her any advice as a politician?
Do you think she should run? Do you think she’s going to do it? What do you think her future is?
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
I’d let her run, but as far as giving political advice? I don’t want to be giving people advice politically.
But one thing she’s got to do—she’s got to start doing interviews.
I mean, you can’t get away with what both of them did. He—Biden—he did no interviews during COVID, and he got away with it because of COVID.
You know, it was a great election, this last one. And I do think this—I think it’s much more historic the way it happened than if I had won in 2020.
Teams Are Accepting White House Invitations Again
INTERVIEWER:
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming to the White House soon. I know you were at the Super Bowl.
They booed Santa Claus back in the day—Philadelphia Eagles fans did that. I know you’re a big sports fan.
What did it mean that you were cheered at the Super Bowl? What does it reflect that sports fans seem to be coming together for you and that the Eagles are coming to the White House this time?
They didn’t want to come the last time. How have things changed?
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
Well, actually, they did want to come. A lot of people wanted to come, including the coach—terrific guy, by the way.
The coach wanted to come. The general manager wanted to come. The owner wanted to come.
Now, they had a lot of people who wanted to come—some of the players, too. And I just said, “Figure it out.”
I also had the same problem with the Golden State Warriors. They said, “Well, we’ll think about it.” I said, “Uh-uh, you don’t have to think. You’re uninvited.”
And after that, you know what happened? Most people did come. But people don’t write about that.
The baseball teams came. The ice hockey teams came.
The Cultural Shift Is Here
INTERVIEWER:
What do you think when a site like OutKick, NFL players, Jon Jones at the UFC, Christian Pulisic—great soccer player—they all do the dance you made famous?
Football players—college and pro—it’s everywhere. What does that reflect about the culture changing in the time you’ve been president? Does it feel different to you?
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
They did a poll recently. They rated the best opening month of a presidency.
Number two was George Washington. Guess who was number one? Trump.
You know who did that poll? Bill O’Reilly.
It’s amazing. We had a great opening month. We had a great second month. Now, it’s already been two months, and the second month was just as good as the first.
Stopping War
INTERVIEWER:
If you get the war stopped, honestly, don’t you think you should be a Nobel Peace Prize contender?
Wouldn’t they give it to a Democrat if they got it done?
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
Well, if it’s Norway deciding, who knows?
Nobody really knows what that’s all about. I mean, Obama got it for no reason.
He didn’t even know why he got it. He hadn’t done anything.
We thought we were going to get it for three different things. The Abraham Accords—now they’re starting to kick in again because other countries are joining.
The Abraham Accords were amazing.
Releasing the JFK Files
INTERVIEWER:
You released the JFK files. Do you think Oswald killed JFK personally?
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
I do.
And I thought he was helped—yeah, of course, he was helped.
Based on the papers, you know, we released 88,000 pages.
In fact, there were some that needed a little more time, and we said, “Go over to the office. We’ll show you.”
So nobody could say anything was hidden. They’ve been released.
I think the papers turned out to be somewhat unspectacular. And maybe that’s a good thing.
Did Trump’s Shooter Work Alone?
INTERVIEWER:
It’s only been eight months since Butler, Pennsylvania. Do you think that guy acted alone, based on what you’ve seen?
Thank the Lord he missed, but people for the next hundred years would have been talking about it, like we talk about JFK.
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
I can’t really be sure.
It bothers me that he had three apps, and two of them were far away. Maybe there were more apps.
And it bothers me that the other guy had, like, 18 phones. I thought it was six, but it was 18.
The FBI is being very straight with me now. I believe them. At first, I think they weren’t, but now I think they are.
Trump’s Reception at Sporting Events
INTERVIEWER:
Penn State—we’re going to go watch the wrestling team. I know they endorsed you.
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
Oh, that’s nice. That’s great. Great team.
INTERVIEWER:
They’ve won 11 of the last 13 championships, according to Senator McCormack.
You’ve had incredible receptions—Daytona 500, Super Bowl, UFC, baseball games. What’s on your bucket list?
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
Super Bowl was unbelievable.
I mean, Taylor Swift got booed, and I got cheered.
The only thing is, they should have left the camera on me for more than three seconds.
INTERVIEWER:
Well, I agree with that.
