This just in: Rachel Morinโs killer has been sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.
24-year-old Victor Martinez Hernandez, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was convicted in the brutal rape and murder of Rachel Morin, a mother of five children.
Now, he will spend the rest of his days rotting in prison.
Here are the details:

Itโs an absolutely heartbreaking story.
But, at least we now have justice.
If President Trump had been in the White House back in 2023, perhaps Rachel Morin โ and so many other victims of violent, criminal illegals โ would still be alive today.
While the left chooses to focus on the โpoor illegal aliensโ who are being deported everyday, President Trumpโs administration is working hard to get these maniacs out of our country so that nobody else has to lose a loved one.
As DHS Secretary Kristi Noem noted:
Today, Rachel Morinโs killer was sentenced to life without parole for her brutal murder. This criminal illegal alien should have never been in our country in the first place.
Rachel should still be here watching her 5 children grow up.

We hear far too much in the mainstream media about sob stories of gang members and criminal illegals and not enough about their victims. ย
Martinez Hernandez was given the maximum sentence allowed in the state of Maryland, which is two life sentences, and an additional 40 years in prison.
He will not be deported to El Salvador to carry out his sentence.
CBS News reported:
Victor Martinez-Hernandez was found guilty in April of kidnapping, raping and murdering 37-year-old Morin, who was a mother a five. Her body was found off the Ma and Pa Trail in Bel Air on August 6, 2023.
He received the maximum sentence for each count, including life without parole for first-degree murder, life for first-degree rape, and 40 years for a sex offense and kidnapping, according to court officials.
โArguably, Harford County has never seen a case or a defendant more deserving of every single day of the maximum sentences this court imposed,โ Harford County Stateโs Attorney Alison Healey said outside the courthouse.
Court officials said Martinez-Hernandez will serve his sentence in Maryland and would not be deported back to his home country of El Salvador. According to Healy, this is because judges in Maryland do not have the authority to incarcerate someone in any jail except Maryland Department of Corrections facilities.
Rachel Morinโs half sister, Erin Morin Layman, said the sentence doesnโt bring Rachel back, but it does give the family some closure.
โThereโll always be an empty void in our lives, and in the childrenโs lives, but we do get some closure,โ Morin Layman said after the sentencing hearing. โSo we can move on from this and know heโs not gonna get out. Rachelโs kids are not gonna have to cross paths with him ever again, and hopefully he can turn his life around.โ
Rachel Morinโs family is thankful that this monster will never be let loose again.
WBALTV shared their reactions to the sentencing:
โI am grateful for what she gave, which was maximum sentence for everything,โ Rachel Morinโs mother, Patty Morin, said outside court after sentencing. โI felt relieved that heโs never going to see the light of day outside of prison and that another person is not going to feel this grief.โ
โLife, plus life, plus 40, we couldnโt ask for anything better. So, that does give us some closure. It doesnโt bring Rachel back. Thereโll always be an empty void in our lives and in the childrenโs lives,โ Erin Layman, Rachel Morinโs sister said outside court after sentencing.
โI donโt think justice was possible because justice is Rachel being with her kids and Victor not being here anymore, and thatโs not possible. But I think we got the best thing that we could possibly get,โ Matt McMahon, the father of Rachel Morinโs oldest child, said outside court after sentencing.
