From the New York Post:
The convention runs Monday through Thursday, but the protests begin Sunday with a march towards Grant Park organized by the pro-abortion, gay-rights organization Bodies Outside of Unjust Laws.
The biggest turnout is expected at βMarch on the DNC 2024β rallies slated for Monday and Thursday, organized by a coalition of 125 anti-Israel groups including the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression and the U.S. Palestinian Community Network.
Over 30,000 are expected to attend the Monday march, according to multiple reports.
Hatem Abudayyeh, chair of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, told The Washington Post, it wonβt go soft on the Dems despite Vice President Harris replacing President Biden β who the group branded βGenocide Joeβ for backing Israel β on the top of the ticket.
βOur target is the Democratic Party, and the leadership of the party and βKiller Kamalaβ is one of them,β he said.
βDemocratic lawmakers are fearful about their safety after being rattled by a series of disruptive pro-Palestinian protests,β Chuck Callesto noted.

Per Axios:
One House Democrat told Axios they are βvery concernedβ about their personal security and that βof courseβ other lawmakers are as well.
A senior House Democrat said law enforcement is telling members βnot to go to a certain area, because they expect violence.β
βThe protesters arenβt staying in a designated protest site β¦ and there are people who are going to go and really try to cause trouble,β the lawmaker predicted.
In guidance sent to Democratic congressional offices and obtained by Axios, the House sergeant-at-armsβ office wrote, βIf you are confronted by protesters, try not to engage and report to [Capitol Police].β
The guidance said that law enforcement will try to confine protests to βdesignated demonstration areasβ outside the inner security perimeter of the convention.
House Democrats were also briefed on convention security last week and presented with a βthoroughβ security plan, according to three lawmakers on the call.
One of the lawmakers told Axios that members were urged not to book hotel rooms in their names because βhotels have been getting random calls asking for people.β
