There is a coordinated media plot against President Trump.
That isn’t exactly news to anyone paying attention — but it’s rare that we get a firsthand account of the innerworkings of that “collusion” — irony intended.
Harris Faulkner of Fox News is spilling the beans on her own experience, when she got a glimpse of multiple networks and journalists “colluding” (I’m going to enjoy that term in this context) against President Trump.
The NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists) invited both President Trump and Kamala Harris to be interviewed during the Conference held in Chicago last year leading up to the election.
Kamala Harris declined the invite — presumably because she’s literally not black, as President Trump memorably pointed out during the interview?
But President Trump showed up in good faith, ready to engage, and prepared for whatever the so-called journalists on stage with him threw his way.
And that’s when the “collusion” of media entities ambushed him:

Or… they tried to.
As one X user quipped, President Trump showed up and faced all their hostile questions.

As you saw in that clip, the animosity towards him — and his pushback to it — was palpable during the interview.
It was palpable for a good reason.
It was planned and coordinated backstage, according to Harris Faulkner’s account in the Daily Mail:
Fox News host Harris Faulkner revealed there was a backstage plot to humiliate Donald Trump during his infamous interview at the National Association of Black Journalists conference.
Faulkner, ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott, and Semafor reporter Kadia Goba interviewed Trump during a panel on July 31 in Chicago.
Trump tangled with Scott throughout the interview, which started more than 30 minutes behind schedule, and accused her of asking ‘nasty’ questions.
Faulkner has now revealed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that she witnessed executives plotting how to handle Trump backstage during the delay.
Not only did Faulkner hear the top execs talk behind-the-scenes about how they were going to negatively handle Trump – but she was bombarded with a script on-air that she hadn’t seen during the pre-show briefs.
The Faulkner Focus host shared that the execs’ alleged plot had come to fruition, as she was suddenly given a script that was completely new.
That situation was summed up well when Faulkner quickly characterized the treatment President Trump received as “unfair” shortly after last year’s interview:

But it is only now coming clear just how much (say it with me…) — COLLUSION! — really went in to the attempt to make President Trump look bad during that “journalistic” event.
A self-described member of the NABJ, definitively not a Trump supporter, came right out and told the truth.
Those who colluded against President Trump got “COOKED”; not even because their questions were hostile, but because they were obviously COORDINATED in their hostility to the point they couldn’t even PRETEND to be objective:

Here’s the moment that received the majority of attention because (GASP!) President Trump dared to speak candidly about the topic at hand:

He didn’t shy away just because he is white — for SHAME! — and he dared to question the IDENTITY POLITICS that were being treated as something that could be wielded against him, but which he was expected to never confront.
Because he’s white.
(By the way… did I just discover a hidden aspect of “wokeism”? Is Kamala’s invented black identity a clear example of RACIAL FLUIDITY???)
It’s definitely an example of political deceit, in any case. And as usual, President Trump didn’t hesitate to address the double standard, or political motivation behind that specific Kamala lie.
Harris Faulkner said she knew something wasn’t right going in to the interview when everyone started COLLUDING together backstage; planning how to trap President Trump.
Though the 40 minute delay was blamed on President Trump, Faulkner says it was really the networks coordinating their next moves, as reported in the Daily Caller:
Fox News host Harris Faulkner said she knew something was askew before President Donald Trump’s July 31, 2024, interview with a panel during the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conference when asked about it during an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Trump was interviewed by Faulkner, ABC News reporter Rachel Scott and Semafor reporter Kadia Goba, during which he clashed with Scott over her first question about Trump’s criticism of left-wing members of Congress and former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, and also commented on Vice President Kamala Harris, saying that he “didn’t know she was black” until a few years ago. Faulkner told the DCNF that she saw executives and others debating how to handle the event before Trump took the stage.
“I was backstage when the delay happened for 40 minutes, ‘Oh, we’re having audio problems.’ What I saw backstage were executives from, from some of the, and former executives, from some of the networks and they were working on what they were going to do with Trump, and it did not look positive. And I got to see that firsthand,” Faulkner told the DCNF about the NABJ event.
“If those people wanted to keep it under wraps, they couldn’t, and they were shouting. And I remember Rachel Scott was part of that whole, you know, melee of people around, I don’t know, it felt like the inner workings of going after Trump,” Faulkner continued. “I thought, ‘Okay, you know what? I’m probably wrong.’ We get on that stage. I wasn’t wrong. What I saw was real, and suddenly a script that, you know, appeared in a prompter in front of the stage that I did not remember anybody talking about.”
As usual with President Trump, the trap planned for him didn’t work.
He stuck to the truth, and made it through the hostilities.
If anything, once the dust settled, he came out looking BETTER for it — for having the guts to go where he wasn’t truly welcome, as was discussed on this segment of Larry Kudlow’s show following the interview:

As has been the case lately, we’ve been getting deeper glimpses behind the curtain and all that was arrayed against the President during the campaign.
While the Biden White House as effectively a ‘Politburo’ of unelected power usurpers willing to take advantage of the President’s cognitive dysfunction, while also COLLUDING to cover it up…
President Trump was out there facing the lions at every step, with unfair COLLUSION lined up day after day against him.
And even with all the mainstream media in lockstep against him, he triumphed.
But as the realities of that collusion become more clear each day that passes, there needs to be… RETRIBUTION? …VENGEANCE? …PAYBACK?
Ah — a reckoning. JUSTICE. Ramifications. Consequences.
That was the concept I was searching for.
It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t right. And there needs to be a reckoning.
