A crowd of about 10,000 people marched between Pioneer Park and the Federal Building when shots were fired near 200 South State Street. There is a person of interest in custody.
“We can confirm the shooting resulted in one person being critically injured. The patient has been taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries,” officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a post.
Utah News Dispatch added:
A Utah News Dispatch reporter that was on scene saw the crowd scatter, with some shouting that they heard gunshots. A photojournalist also witnessed what appeared to be a victim lying in the street with several people administering aid. Soon after, the victim was seen being loaded into an ambulance.
Please pray for the victim who was shot by yet another “peaceful” leftist protestor.
