As the Pet Shop Boys once sang, ‘We were never being boring,‘ we see that seems to sum up Elon Musk’s work schedule these days. He’s always up to something.

From launching rockets, to setting up his own wifi sector, to exposing government fraud the likes of which no one’s ever seen.

So what else is he up to?

He’s building an underground road in Dubai.

And this is through one of his companies called the Boring Company.

This guy is all over the schedule!

Will Tesla owners be among the first to test drive this underground tunnel?

TimeOut reports:

Elon Musk has announced a major underground transportation project which could finally solve the notorious Dubai traffic.

The world’s richest man will collaborate with the Dubai Government and the Roads and Transport Authority to develop the “Dubai Loop” in the city’s most densely populated areas.

The Elon Musk Dubai project will initially be 17km long, have 11 stations and the capacity for up to 20,000 passengers per hour.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai.

It will also feature direct travel to the destination station with no stops and be capable of reaching speeds of up to 160km/h.

In a statement on the Boring Company website, the project aims to eventually be capable of handling more than 100,000 passengers per hour.

Musk wanted others to build tunnels but they wouldn’t. (Were they afraid that people would find out about the labyrinth of tunnels that are already in existence?)

So he decided to do it himself.

Claustrophobic much?

I’ll pass on the tunnel.

But what happens if there’s an accident?

Or if a Tesla bursts into flames?

Because that never happens, right?
