Police are currently searching for the suspect in a truly horrendous and seemingly random attack on an innocent, churchgoing mother at a park in Savannah, GA.
On Wednesday evening, 46-year-old Ashley Wasielewski was taking a walk in the park after going to a church Christmas program, when a stranger came up behind her and poured chemicals over her head.
Wasielewski suffered second-degree chemical burns on her scalp and face, as well as her hands and legs.
She is now being treated in a burn center.

Ashley Wasielewski, 46, was walking laps around Forsyth Park in Savannah Wednesday night after attending a Christmas program at a nearby church when a stranger approached her from behind and poured the corrosive liquid over her head, according to her devastated friends and family.
She let out a blood-curdling scream as the chemical burned her skin, ate through her clothing, and melted her car’s key fob in her pocket.
“She was instantly like, ‘Why are you pouring water on me?’ And then her skin started to burn,” said her close friend Connor Milam, who described Wasielewski as a giving person who often volunteered in her community and provided essential items to the homeless.
“She looked down and her pants were starting to burn off her body. She started screaming. They didn’t rob her. They didn’t take anything from her. This was a random person in the park who went out of their way to disfigure another human being.”
Wasielewski was rushed to the Augusta Burn Center, where she’s being treated for second- and third-degree burns over half her body, including her face, scalp, hands and legs, according to her son Westley.
The concerned son said he learned of the attack from a good Samaritan who came to his mother’s aid, adding that he could hear her wailing in agony over the phone.
“We don’t know who did it,” Westley said.
“She doesn’t have any enemies. She is a friend to everyone.”
At this time, we don’t know who committed this heinous crime.
Police released a photo of a person of interest in the case.
But, they also say he’s not currently being treated as a suspect.

Law enforcement were still searching for the acid attack’s perpetrator, whose identity remained unknown.
A photo of a man in a black hoodie featuring a cartoon rabbit was shared by police on Thursday, although he was not currently a suspect.
‘It’s someone that we want to speak to that was in the area at the time,’ Robert Gavin, the Savannah assistant chief of police, said at a press conference Friday.
Gavin added: ‘He might have information that’s important to this case.’
He said that given the horrific nature of her injuries police had not ‘tried to sit down and get too much information’ from Wasielewski.
Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were helping investigate the attack.
Police said Wasielewski did not know her assailant.
Chemical attacks like this — especially on women — are sadly, relatively common in third-world countries.
The type of evil, barbaric attack is intended to disfigure a person.
Unfortunately (and infuriatingly), it appears that these attacks have now spread to our country.
Acid attacks on white women has become common in Europe. It is now happening in the USA.
It is most commonly committed by migrants from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nigeria and Uganda.

This cannot be tolerated in the United States of America.
And yet, you don’t see the MSM reporting on the attack, at all.
Just imagine the outrage if a white man did this to a black woman!

Anyone who believes attacking someone with acid is justified — ever — needs to be deported immediately.
