Once you get busted by the KissCam at a Coldplay concert for having an affair (allegedly but almost certainly) and you become the #1 most viral news story of the entire day, you would think it might be time for some humility?
That’s not what CEO Andy Byron thought.
Byron released a stunning statement where
Imagine CEO #AndyByron being not only bold enough to have an affair, and ruthless enough to have his mistress in a public setting, but then getting upset at the cameraman for (checks notes)… doing his job, which got him caught up, and then playing victim.

Statement from
CEO Andy Byron
New York, New York – July 17, 2025 – “I want to acknowledge the moment that’s been circulating online, and the disappointment it’s caused.
What was supposed to be a night of music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake playing out on a very public stage. I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family, and the team at Astronomer. You deserve better from me as a partner, as a father, and as a leader.
This is not who I want to be or how I want to represent the company I helped build. I’m taking time to reflect, to take accountability, and to figure out the next steps, personally and professionally. I ask for privacy as I navigate that process.
I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.
As a friend once sang: ‘Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you.”
-Andy
I don’t even know where to begin with this trainwreck, but I’ll do my best.
This guy clearly thinks very highly of himself, branding the statement as coming from “CEO” Andy Byron.
Bro, get over yourself! We all have. Taking the HR lady to a Coldplay Concert was not done by “CEO” Andy Byron, it was done by “husband” Andy Byron. There, I fixed it for ya!
Next up, you get caught redhanded cheating on your wife with the HR lady and you refer to that as causing “disappointment”.
This guy is not living in anything resembling reality.
I’m pretty sure your wife views this as a little more than “disappointment”.
He continues by still referencing the night as something that was supposed to be a “night of music and joy” and he seems genuinely bummed out his cheating night of a Coldplay Concert with the HR lady got ruined!
Then the true stunner….
He then blames Coldplay for his mistake: “I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.”
Andy, bro, are you serious?
You chose to take the HR lady (and not your wife) to a Coldplay concert and this is somehow Coldplay’s fault? Or the camera operator?
I’m no expert, but it sure does seem like the level of narcissism here is off the charts.
He ends the statement by trying to get cute with using Coldplay lyrics: “As a friend once sang: ‘Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you.’”
Andy, bud, this is not some game or Internet meme. This is your real life. Respectfully, you seem to have absolutely no grasp on the gravity or reality of the situation, you seem more focused on being cutesy in your press release. Time and place bud.
That’s just my opinion, what do you think?
