People may have thought President Trump was just joking when he suggested Canada should become the 51st State, but the joke is not going away.
In fact, it’s only building momentum — from all sides.
That’s what I want to show you.
It all started a few weeks ago with President Trump trolling Justin Trudeau.
That led to this Christmas Day post from President Trump yesterday:

Here is famous Canadian and Shark Tank host Kevin O’Leary going on Fox Business to give this credence and saying he’s ready to go to Mar-a-Lago and negotiate the deal on behalf of Canadians (in lieu of Trudeau):

“Give a common currency, figure out taxes across the board, get everything trading both ways. Create a new almost EU-like passport.”
“I like this idea, and at least half of Canadians are interested.”
“I’m gonna go to Mar-a-Lago, I’ll start the narrative. The 41 million Canadians, I think most of them would trust me on this deal.”
Seriously, how good is this?
The best Shark on Shark Tank telling Justin Trudeua to get the hell out of the way and let him negotiated a deal for the 41 million Canadians to get this done?
Yes, there is SOME tongue-in-cheek to what O’Leary is saying, but I don’t think it’s much.
Just like Trump, I think there’s a slight wink and a nod, but the majority of this is serious. This makes sense and this seriously should happen. And sometimes you have to float an idea out there to get it in the public consciousness and even use humor to do it to get things to take hold.
And taking hold they are!
