An Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Boise Airport in Idaho after a passenger allegedly assaulted at least one flight attendant.

Alaska Airlines Flight 1057 was traveling from Portland, Oregon, to Dallas when a “security incident” prompted an emergency landing.

According to the Boise Police Department, Tracy Barkhimer, 61, of White Salmon, Washington, is charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery.

Barkhimer “was showing erratic behavior and struck two airline employees who were attempting to calm her down,” the Boise Police Department said in a statement. She was restrained until the flight landed. The employees filed citizen’s arrests, and Barkhimer was removed from the plane without incident. She was taken into custody and booked into the Ada County Jail, police said.

Medics met with the flight crew and cleared them to fly, Alaska Airlines said. The aircraft continued on after a 90-minute delay.

“At Alaska Airlines, safety is our number one priority, and we do not tolerate violence of any kind against our employees,” the company stated, according to the outlet.

“We are grateful to our crew for their professionalism, and we apologize for any concern or inconvenience this situation caused,” the statement added.

Barkhimer posted a $600 cash bond and has a court appearance scheduled for November.

Alaska Airlines told Fox News Digital that only one of its flight attendants was assaulted, though police records indicate there were two victims.

Barkhimer was banned from flying on the airline in the future, a spokesperson said.
