Zoë Kravitz rocked a bare ring finger after calling off her engagement to fiancé Channing Tatum — and now, we know the reason behind their shock split.
Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet’s daughter, 35, looked downcast as she stepped out in New York City Wednesday, just hours after it was revealed that she and Tatum, 44, broke up after three years together.
The “Blink Twice” director went casual for the outing, sporting a white tank top and gray sweater — with one noticeable accessory missing: her engagement ring.
The latest spotting comes after Kravitz was photographed by herself earlier in the day.
Rocking more clothes, including a blue oversized button-up and navy Yankees cap, the star accessorized with black sunglasses, earrings and a purse. Although she held her keys in her left hand, she kept her ring finger hidden with the sleeves of her shirt.
The couple — who met in 2021 after Kravitz sent Tatum an early draft of the script for “Blink Twice” — allegedly ended their engagement last weekend; however, the news didn’t make headlines until Tuesday.
As for the reason behind the split, a source told People, “They haven’t been on the same page and grew apart.”
The Post reached out to the stars’ reps.
They were seen together Oct. 6 at a play starring Tatum’s “Blink Twice” co-star Levon Hawke in Red Hook.
While Kravitz and Tatum were promoting her directorial debut, they repeatedly gushed about their romance.
“This is what I’ll say about creating with someone that you are with or love: I suggest it,” the “Magic Mike” actor said in July. “If you are thinking about having a kid or if you’re thinking about getting married, go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner.”
During the flick’s Los Angeles premiere in August, Kravitz told People that “art is our love language,” adding, “I think it’s what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other.”
On why she cast Tatum for the lead, she told Elle, “Looking at his work and hearing him speak about ‘Magic Mike’ and the live show, I’m like, I think he’s a feminist. You need to be so far from who this is, where it’s not scary. And I don’t think we’ve ever seen him play someone dark. I’m excited to see him do that.”
Tatum and Kravitz were linked romantically in August 2021. They confirmed their relationship with a Halloween post that October.
The “21 Jump Street” actor proposed to Kravitz around this time last year with a huge rock.
Tatum and Kravitz’s wedding was set for next year, according to her rock star father, who spilled the tea about their nuptials.
“He’s a really great guy,” Lenny said on the British radio show “Zoe Ball and Friends” on May 31. “He was raised well. So, you know, he’s got manners. He’s charming. He’s a soulful human being. And so, he’s become part of the family quite quickly.”
He added, “He fits and they’re in love. We’re going to have a wedding next year.”
This would have been wedding No. 2 for both of them.
Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman, 36, for just 18 months before she filed for divorce in January 2021. The pair finalized their divorce months later in August, the same month dating rumors with Tatum began to swirl.
Tatum famously wed his “Step Up” co-star Jenna Dewan in 2009. The pair announced their separation in April 2018, and she filed to end their almost nine-year marriage later that year. However, their divorce was just finalized last month. Tatum and Dewan have one child: daughter Everly, 11.
Dewan is engaged to Steve Kazee, 49, who sparked a firestorm when he shared a repetitive string of “HAHA” to his Instagram Story, seemingly mocking Tatum’s breakup with Kravitz.
He later denied the allegations, claiming he was making fun of a plant.
“A guy can’t laugh about a houseplant TikTok in todays world I see … “, Kazee wrote in a follow-up post.
His rep backed him up, telling Us Weekly, “He posted ‘hahaha’ right before the meme tagging Jenna. If we go to the post now it will show the meme about not watering the plants.”
