Who you gonna call?
Bill Murray furiously lashed out at a pushy fan who seemingly hounded the actor inside a New York City movie theater.
In a now-viral clip shared on TikTok, the “Ghostbusters” actor, 74, was seen confronting the unidentified fan while pointing his finger in his face at the AMC Lincoln Square 13 on March 27.
“You attack me like that again, I’ll step on your foot,” Murray was heard saying as he approached him in the theater’s lobby.
As security intervened, a visibly irritated Murray was ushered away as he accused the fan of “physical assault.”
“Don’t do it again,” the “Groundhog Day” actor repeatedly said as he kept waving his finger at the fan, who was heard apologizing.
Murray had been at the theater for a special Q&A presentation of his film “The Friend,” in which he stars alongside Naomi Watts. He was seen wearing the same outfit from the confrontation as he spoke to moviegoers.
Fans rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the heated exchange, as some criticized the actor for overreacting.
“You got your foot nudged in a crowd and called it assault? Be serious,” one person wrote.
However, some fans praised the actor for his stern response.
“Don’t understand people bothering these people like they’re some kind of gods. They’re actors, just people,” one person wrote on TikTok.
Another noted that the fan should respect Murray’s personal space.
“Bill Murray isn’t perfect, but everyone that I have known that has met him as had nothing but awesome things to say. Also, Bill is from the south side of Chicago…. So he ain’t no punk.,” a third added.
The ordeal comes just days after Murray found himself in hot water for forcibly kissing Watts during their joint appearance on “Watch What Happens Live!”
During the nightly fan Q&A segment on Monday’s episode, Watts was asked to name the “best onscreen kiss” of her career.
But before she was able to answer, Murray leaned over and forcibly planted a kiss on Watt’s lips after pulling her hair back.
After the kiss, Murray appeared pleased with himself as he gave a thumbs-up to the camera.
“You’ve got lipstick on your face,” Watts said, pointing to Murray’s mouth. “OK. Did I go red?”
“That was too easy,” Murray responded.
Watts then answered the fan’s question, naming her husband Billy Crudup as her best on-screen kiss.
Elsewhere during the episode, Murray recalled the “insane” chore actor Bruce Willis was tasked with on “Saturday Night Live” before he secured his big break and became a Hollywood icon.
Murray was also asked to list some of Wes Anderson’s films from most to least favorite, given his longtime collaboration with the director.
