Ring the alarm: Usher has a confession.

The upcoming Super Bowl LVIII halftime show performer addressed the long-standing rumor that he used to be Beyoncé’s nanny.

Usher, 45, told Shannon Sharpe on the NFL legend’s “Club Shay Shay” YouTube show and podcast that he was more of a temporary chaperone for Beyoncé, 42, in their younger days.

“First of all, how could I be a nanny? I’d be a manny,” he joked.

“Daryl Simmons had a group by the name of The Dolls, and they came to Atlanta for the first time. This is before Destiny’s Child became Destiny’s Child,” Usher explained. “I think I looked over them while they [were] doing something in the house; I had to watch over ’cause I was like the, you know, the authority ’cause I guess I was the older teenager at the time.”

“[I was] making certain that they didn’t, you know, get in no trouble in the house at the time,” the “Daddy’s Home” singer added.

Sharpe then asked if Usher could tell that Beyoncé possessed a certain it-factor even as a youngster.

“I think when I saw them, I knew there was something very special about all of them,” he said about the up-and-coming girl group. “Because as Destiny’s Child, they all thrive. Even still to this day when you see them all together, they all are an incredible unit.”

“Beyoncé had a talent and also a brilliance and a brightness that was much different,” he said, adding of the “Cuff It” singer, “[It’s] really great for my sister, to see that she’s done so amazing and continue to thrive and just get bigger and better.”

Usher previously claimed checking the Super Bowl performance off his bucket list was an “honor of a lifetime.”

Upon his headliner announcement, a source detailed what fans can expect to see from the R&B hitmaker.

“Usher plans on having… pole dancers — dressed in a tasteful manner, of course as well as dancers on roller skates,” the source said of the halftime. “He is definitely keeping in mind that his younger fans will be watching.”

“[He] just wants to set himself apart and make history as one of the greatest performers to hit the world stage,” they added, “Beyoncé, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Prince and Michael Jackson have all made memorable moments and now that Usher is taking the stage he wants to do something different, unforgettable and over-the-top.”
