Legendary actor Sylvester Stallone found his “personality fit” in Florida and has no regrets about permanently leaving Democratic-run California, he revealed in a new interview.
The Republican-led Sunshine State has been a step-up from Hollywood, which he and his family permanently left in 2024, the “Tulsa King” star told Fox News Digital.
“I love it,” Stallone, 79.
“First of all, the air seems to always be clean. We’re very, very near the water and that makes my wife incredibly happy. It makes me happy, and it’s just something about it. It’s just so lush,” the “Cop Land” actor said.
“I went to college there for a couple of years. So, I’m not a stranger to the environment, but it fits my personality much better,” the University of Miami drama major stated.
The “Rocky” star and his wife, Jennifer Falvin, officially put Hollywood in the rearview mirror in 2024 — announcing the coastal change to their daughters and the viewing public on the Season 2 premiere of their reality television show “The Family Stallone.”
“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida,” the one-time Planet Hollywood backer revealed at the time.
The move was celebrated by the wife of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” Casey DeSantis wrote on X after the announcement. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you.”
Stallone is just one of many big-name celebrities who fled the Golden State for greener — and less liberal — pastures.
Former “Superman” actor and current ICE volunteer Dean Cain jettisoned California and specifically cited the state’s progressive policies as what pushed him away.
“I love California. It’s the most beautiful state. Everything’s wonderful about it except for the policies, the homelessness policies,” he told Fox News in 2023.
“The things that our leaders in California have been doing have driven out anybody who can really afford to get out. People are flocking out of there in droves.”
Boston-native actor Mark Wahlberg moved his entire family from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in pursuit of a more rounded life for his children in 2023.
“Modern Family” actor Ty Burrell recently revealed he has “no regrets” about leaving California with his family for Utah after the hit sitcom ended in 2020.
“We moved here right after [“Modern Family”] ended, and I don’t have any regrets,” Burrell said in an August interview with People. “It’s just been spectacular.”
Oscar-nominated actress Amanda Seyfried bailed on Tinseltown and made the Catskills her home in 2021, she revealed to the New York Times.
Podcaster Joe Rogan ditched Los Angeles for Austin, Texas, in 2021, and has since been a sharp critic of the state’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.
