Fans think “Suits: LA” should be held in contempt.

After the NBC show, which stars Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt and returnee Gabriel Macht, premiered on Sunday, Feb. 24, viewers took to social media to weigh in on the “Suits” spinoff series — and their reviews weren’t what the network was likely hoping for.

One person wrote on X, “Is this the pilot episode or episode 3? It feels like they threw all these characters at us without any introduction and expect us to understand their current storylines they’re involved it. I’m trying soo hard to like this but it’s giving rushed production.”

Another user quipped, “Coming from the #1 suits fan on the planet- Suits LA is disgustingly bad. May be the worst acting and script on TV. A third observed that “suits LA getting dragged to hell” while adding a GIF from “RHONY,” while someone else wrote, “#SuitsLA is a flop. Poor writing. Disingenuous characters and a plot that doesn’t hold the original #Suits jockstrap. #TryAgain.”

However, not everyone was disappointed with the premiere episode.

“I’m going to be reasonable about Suits: LA. I’m not going to whine and complain like everybody else is about the lack of the original characters. When the original show started, I would bet that people definitely didn’t know or care at first about the characters,” one person shared on the social media platform.

“Probably the only one on twitter actually enjoying Suits LA lol #SuitsLA,” a second wrote, while another happy watcher added: “Suits LA is BOMB. Same high stakes feeling from the original but a whole new arena and areas of expertise but still very intense.”

“Suits” was on the USA Network for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019 and followed Manhattan corporate lawyer Harvey Specter (played by Macht) and his team through trials and tribulations in and out of the courtroom.

Macht, 53, is reprising his role in three episodes of “Suits LA” “for the fans,” per People.

“I’m just doing it for the fans. I’m not doing it for me. I’ve done it 134 times,” he told the outlet.

The show’s creator, Aaron Korsh, called the actor to offer him the chance to come back to his old stomping grounds.

“Aaron called me and he just said, ‘Look, this is a different world. This is in LA. It’s not New York, but the character of Ted, who Stephen Amell is playing, he came out of New York,” Macht explained. “And (Harvey) would’ve known him when you were in New York. And if there’s any world where you might be interested in coming back, let me know. Because I have this idea that could be really great.’”

And Korsh will never say never to offering another “Suits” star the chance to make a comeback.

Meghan Markle landed her breakout role as Rachel Zane on the series in 2011 but left in 2018 ahead of marrying Prince Harry. The series creator said the door is open for the Duchess of Sussex to make a cameo if she wants to.

“So, look, to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor,” he told People at the “Suits LA” premiere. “I think for me that’s a little … My brain blows up at the thought of that.”

“So I think it blows up the world too much,” Korsh confessed. “Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back.”

The outlet asked if Markle, 43, has an open invitation to return, to which the director replied, “Of course. Of course. Always. But I think realistically, it would be too much of an explosion of the fourth wall to do that. Yeah.”

Korsh wrote Markle’s character out of the series, having Rachel move to Seattle after marrying her boyfriend, Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams.

As for Adams possibly making a cameo on the spinoff, he shared he’s willing but told Collider in December: “Truthfully, I’m more than happy to keep that character exactly where he is. I think it ended in a perfect place.”
