This Chrisley knows itβs best to support from afar.
After Savannah Chrisley revealed on Tuesday that her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were being pardoned by President Donald Trump, her older half sister, Lindsie Chrisley, took to social media to share a subtle reaction after a yearslong family rift.
The podcaster, 35, wrote on her Instagram Stories, βWith God all things are possible.β
Trump, 76, pardoned Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, after they were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022. The coupleβs 10-season reality show, βChrisley Knows Best,β ended the following year.
The Chrisleys were indicted in 2019, with federal prosecutors accusing them of submitting fake documents to banks in order to garner more than $30 million in loans.
Todd received a 12-year prison sentence, while Julie was sentenced to seven years. The pair have maintained their innocence.
βItβs a terrible thing, but itβs a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,β Trump told Savannah, 27, in a video posted to X on Tuesday. βI hope we can do it by tomorrow. I donβt know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.β
Years of family drama played out publicly between Todd, Julie, Savannah, her brother Chase, 28, and their half sister. Lindsie and Kyle Chrisleyβs mother is Teresa Terry, Toddβs first wife.
In 2023, Lindsie set the record straight on where she stands with her dad and stepmom.
βThere were some rumors that went around after our last podcast episode that the reason that I have not seen Julie was because she doesnβt want to see me, and that is just untrue,β she said on her podcast. βFinally, I have been able to communicate over [her prisonβs] form of email for the first time, but also her email is very delayed. Dadβs is very different. You can send him an email and you will hear back within maybe two hours.β
But things arenβt mended between sisters, as Lindsie stated on a 2024 podcast episode.
βItβs mind-blowing to me, the control and manipulation. It very much alarms me, and Iβm just going to leave it at that,β she said before adding that her relationship with Savannah is βnothing.β
Savannah then took to her Instagram Stories to clarify that she asked her older sibling not to come to her parentsβ court hearing because βshe was not wantedβ and Todd βdid not want her there and that he didnβt care to have a relationship with her.β
Addressing when she last had in-person contact with the βChrisley Knows Bestβ patriarch, Lindsie revealed on her βSouthern Teaβ podcast in March, βThe last time I visited my dad, probably β¦ was it the beginning of last year?β
βI canβt even honestly remember β¦ I have not seen my dad in quite some time and I have had no contact. And thatβs all Iβm going to say for that.β
After news of Todd and Julieβs pardon broke, Savannah told NewsNationβs βOn Balanceβ that Trump told her, βYou guys donβt look like terrorists.β
βBut he just said that their sentences were outrageous and they were treated unfairly from everyone that he has spoken to, and that he wanted to bring my parents home and not just grant them a commutation, but he wanted to give them a full pardon as well.β
The former βSpecial Forces: Worldβs Toughest Testβ contestant also took to Instagram to share the good news in a tearful video.
βThe president called me personally as I was walking into Samβs Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both of my parents,β Savannah began. βSo both my parents are coming home tonight [Tuesday] or tomorrow [Wednesday], and I still donβt believe itβs real. Iβm freaking out β the fact that the president called me.β
She continued, βI will forever be grateful for President Trump, his administration and everyone along the way, all of my lawyers, the people who put in countless hours and effort and love for my family to make sure that my parents got home.β
βMy parents get to start their lives over β¦ President Trump didnβt just commute their sentences, he gave them a full unconditional pardon. So for that, I am forever grateful.β
Chase, meanwhile, exclusively told The Post, βI am grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration. Iβm beyond thankful to finally have my parents back home and my family together again!β
