An apple? A diamond? A peach? For now, Reese Witherspoon is keeping that part under wraps.
The 48-year-old revealed on the Emmys 2024 red carpet that she is currently working on a project with her media company, Hello Sunshine, and a secret Real Housewife.
“I did sit next to a Real Housewife on a flight recently,” Witherspoon told Heather McMahan on “Live From E!: Emmys” Sunday. “Well we might have a Hello Sunshine project cooking now but I can’t say. It was cool, it was really cool.”
As for whether the “Legally Blonde” alum is a fan of the “Housewives” franchise? As she put it, “I’ve never watched it and I feel like I can’t catch up.”
After a Bravo fan account posted the clip to social media, fans took to the comment section to share their best guess on who Witherspoon might be talking about.
One user wrote, “Kyle [Richards] for sure,” while another echoed those sentiments, writing, “Kyle, Kandi [Burruss] or Garcelle [Beauvais].”
All three ladies have ample experience as actors and producers, so viewers may not be too far off.
In addition to the mystery project, Witherspoon has been working on Season 3 of “Big Little Lies” and Season 4 of “The Morning Show.”
Witherspoon attended the 76th Emmy Awards with a nomination under her belt. The star is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series alongside her Apple TV+ co-star Jennifer Aniston.
The series is also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.
Both Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass were up for the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category, which Crudup, 56, took home. Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie, Karen Pittman, and Holland Taylor are also competing against each other for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for their cameos on “The Morning Show.”
Rounding out the drama nominations is Marcia Gay Harden with a nod as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
The Emmys 2024 marks Witherspoon becoming a seven-time Emmy nominee, taking home the award once in 2017 for Outstanding Limited Series for her work on HBO’s “Big Little Lies.”
