Princess Eugenie has found herself to be in a “very difficult position” after receiving separate invitations to spend Christmas with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as King Charles and the rest of the royals, according to a report.
The Princess of York, 34, must now choose to either spend the holidays with the royal family at Sandringham or 5,416 miles away in Montecito, Calif., with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“Harry and Meghan have invited Eugenie and Jack to join them in California during the holidays,” a source told the Express.
“It’s a very difficult position for Eugenie because she has also been invited to Sandringham.”
It’s unclear where Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their two children, August and Ernest, will be spending Christmas at this time.
However, insiders claim that the princess is considering joining Harry and Meghan in the US for New Year’s Eve, after celebrating Christmas with the Firm.
It’s no secret that Eugenie has remained on close terms with the Sussexes since their shock departure from royal life in 2020.
She is the only royal who has visited the couple at their sprawling mansion in the Golden State, and was even featured in their 2022 Netflix documentary, “Harry & Meghan.”
Sources claim that Eugenie is keen for her two sons to spend quality time with Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, who have only been to the UK a handful of times since the Sussexes moved across the pond.
Harry and the “Suits” alum, for their part, were once again snubbed from the guest list to the royal family’s annual get-together at Sandringham House — leaving them to carve out other plans for the festive season.
Instead, the duo — along with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — will reportedly celebrate Christmas with Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland.

The Sussexes have repeatedly skipped out on various, year-round royal activities since quitting the Firm and making the trans-Atlantic move in 2020.
They have not been back on Harry’s home turf for the festive season since the royal family’s 2018 gathering at Sandringham, the late queen’s country estate in Norfolk, England.
But while the duo didn’t receive an invitation from the royals for their annual festive get-together, the Sussexes did get invited to spend Christmas at Althorp House — the childhood home of his late mother, Princess Diana.
However, given the ongoing security woes the couple had been dealing with after being stripped from tax-funded protection earlier this year, the duo reportedly turned the invitation down.
