You can make the friendship bracelets, but Prince Louis might try and steal them.Β
Prince William revealed this week that young Louis has a penchant for taking his sister Princess Charlotteβs jewelry.
The Prince of Wales, 42, was in Wales on Tuesday, September 10, at a primary school where he met with students who took part in a Welsh language festival, when a young girl named Ruby Davies gifted the royal a packet of friendship bracelets to give to his three children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
The sweet gesture moved William, but he also shared an anecdote about Louisβ mischievous ways.
βThatβs so sweet,β William said to Ruby, who told the prince she made them herself.
βThank you so much Ruby,β he added. βTheyβre going to love those, youβll see them out and about.β
βIβll keep them away from Louis because heβll try and steal all his sisterβs bits.β
Prince William and Princess Catherineβs youngest child has built a reputation for being a bit of a rascal, often stealing the spotlight at official royal occasions βΒ usually ones meant to be at least somewhat somber and staid.
Louisβ desire for a friendship bracelet could have something to do with the fact that both his siblings have been seen wearing the of-the-moment accessory.
Princess Charlotte has been photographed wearing a friendship bracelet on more than one occasion since attending night one of Taylor Swiftβs Eras Tour London leg along with Prince George and Prince William.
At Wimbledon, the young princess was seen wearing two bracelets: one made of various shades of pink thread and another fashioned from green, blue and pink fabric. The bracelets also popped up on her wrist in Kate Middletonβs recent video, announcing that she completed her preventative chemotherapy and is cancer-free.
George, meanwhile, wore a friendship bracelet of his own for his official birthday this summer. And even King Charles was spotted wearing one in July, leading many royal watchers to speculate it was given to him by Charlotte.
Prince William continues to embark on official royal engagements solo while Princess Kate eases her way back into work.
βItβs good news, [but] thereβs still a long way to go,β the second in line to the throne said of his wifeβs recovery journey while speaking with well-wishers during his Welsh visit on Tuesday.
βI cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finallyΒ completed my chemotherapy treatment,β the Princess of Wales said in a statement posted on social media the day before.
βDoing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.β
