Love may not be on the horizon for Kevin Costner.
The actor turned 70 on Saturday, but despite finalizing his divorce from second wife, Christine Baumgartner, he isn’t looking for a new lover for his new decade.
A source close to Costner told People he is “in a good place and having fun with his family and friends.”
In recent months, the hunk has been linked to stars including Sharon Stone, Jewel and January Jones.
Just last month, rumors of a romance with Jennifer Lopez swirled after they were spotted at the same Aspen clothing store.
Costner and Baumgartner finalized their divorce in February 2024, meaning the “Field of Dreams” hunk has been officially back on the market for almost a year.
But the star is fine with keeping it that way.
“He is not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now,” the insider continued.
The source revealed that Costner has instead spent a lot of time with his kids and dog in recent months.
The Oscar winner’s family includes his seven children: daughters Annie, 40, Lily, 38, and Grace, 14, along with sons Joe, 36, Liam, 28, Cayden, 17, and Hayes, 15.
“Kevin is cool, real and in some ways old-school in his thinking. He has a lot of interests and loves being busy when he is in that mode.”
They also touched on the “Yellowstone” actor’s successful film career and last year’s release of the first part of his Western epic “Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1.”
Despite the film not garnering “overwhelming success,” Costner noted while at the Venice Film Festival in September, per Variety, “I’ve had a lot of movies that way, that have stood the test of time.”
The source claims that he “knows people’s moviegoing habits have changed” and he is “optimistic about the remainder of [the ‘Horizon’ films], because he has seen success in streaming.”
“‘Horizon’ is close to his heart, and a project he has worked on for years,” they added of the project, which is currently available on Netflix and Max.
Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner on May 1, 2023, after 18 years of marriage and listed her date of separation from the A-lister as April 11.
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,” a rep for. Costner said in a statement at the time. “We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
