Vince Neil is on the mend.

The Mötley Crüe frontman has revealed that he suffered a stroke the day after Christmas last year, forcing the “Wild Side” rockers to postpone their Las Vegas residency.

“I had a stroke,” Neil, 64, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in an interview published Friday. “My whole left side went out.”

Although the “Kickstart My Heart” crooner felt fine when he went to bed on Christmas night, he shared that the shocking “health scare” started in his sleep.

As a result, Neil and his Mötley Crüe bandmates had no choice but to delay their residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, which was originally scheduled for March 28 through April 19, 2025.

The residency is now set for September 12 through October 3, per Live Nation.

“I had to learn to walk again, and that was tough,” Neil explained. “The doctors said they didn’t think I’d be able to go back on stage again. I go, ‘No, no, I’m gonna do it. Watch and see.’”

“Mötley canceled the first part of the [residency] so I could get better,” he added.

Despite struggling to walk, the “Girls, Girls, Girls” singer revealed that he is now “90 to 95% to where I was before” after months of physical therapy.

“I went from people carrying me to the bathroom, because I couldn’t walk myself, finally to a wheelchair,” he shared. “I graduated to a walker, and then I had a cane. Now I don’t need anything. But it’s like a full-time job getting back to where you feel good again.”

“It takes a while to get your brain to start moving your legs, for them to do what your brain wants to do,” Neil added, noting that his voice was not affected by the stroke. “You try to walk, but it doesn’t come out right.”

Neil announced that the Vegas residency was postponed in an emotional statement released in March. While he mentioned mysterious concerns regarding his health, the “Looks That Kill” singer did not reveal that he had suffered a stroke.

“To all the Crüeheads who were looking forward to seeing us this spring, I’m truly sorry,” he said on March 4. “My health is my top priority so I can bring you the awesome shows you deserved, and I can’t wait to return to the stage.”

Then, after postponing their Vegas residency, Mötley Crüe had to cancel their performance at the Boardwalk Rock festival in Ocean City, Maryland, on May 17.

The band released a statement announcing the disappointing news in April, but did not reveal Neil’s stroke.

“Vince’s health comes first, and we fully support him in prioritizing his recovery,” the “Dr. Feelgood” group, including Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and John 5, said at the time.

“We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the show and appreciate your understanding,” they continued. “Thank you to all the Crüeheads for your continued support. We can’t wait for Vince to fully recuperate and to be back on stage again soon.”

Neil finally returned to the stage for a concert in Bethel, NY, last month. His performance sparked health concerns, and several fans questioned if he was okay.

“This breaks my heart,” one wrote on Instagram. “There’s something else going on with him now and you can see it in his eyes, like something neurological isn’t right.”

“My heart breaks for him on so many levels,” commented another.

The “Live Wire” rocker, meanwhile, made other headlines much earlier this year when his private jet crashed into another plane while on a runway at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona.

Although the heavy metal icon wasn’t on board at the time of the February crash, his then-girlfriend, Rain Andreani, and others were injured. The plane’s pilot was tragically killed in the accident.

The pair allegedly split in May after 15 years together.
