Mama Millie.
Millie Bobby Brown opened up about her adopted daughter for the first time in an interview with British Vogue published Wednesday.
“It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey – she’s taught us so much already,” said the 21-year-old “Stranger Things” star, who shares her daughter with husband Jake Bongiovi, 23.
“Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious,” Brown continued. “Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy.”
The Emmy nominee noted that she and her husband — who she married in May 2024 — “are 50-50 on everything” when it comes to caring for their child.
“That’s why I’m so grateful to have partnered with him in this life – he is just the most amazing dad,” she gushed.
But later in the interview, Brown refused to tell the reporter about her daughter’s personality.
“I’m not going to,” she bluntly stated. “For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself. It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly.”
“If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support,” the “Damsel” star went on. “But right now, as she’s so little. As her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that.”
Brown revealed that she won’t be disclosing her daughter’s name until “she’s ready to decide for herself.”
The “Enola Holmes” actress also responded to the criticism of getting married at age 20.
“I understood I was young – I know that,” she told British Vogue. “I truly just can’t say it enough: when you meet that person, you know it.”
She gushed more over her husband, who is Jon Bon Jovi’s son, calling him a “beautiful angel.”
“I am so different from him. I don’t see the best in everyone,” said Brown. “I’m always like, ‘What are your intentions?’ because I’ve been jaded by the industry. Now I’m able to really see. I’m allowing myself to be less reserved in that world.”
Brown and Bongiovi announced in August that they became parents.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple wrote in a joint statement via Instagram. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
“And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi,” they added.
Brown previously got candid about wanting to start a family while on the “Smartless” podcast in March.
“Jake knows how important it is to me,” she said. “Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me, personally. It’s a huge thing.”
“Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married,’” Brown continued. “So that was his thing, and my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So it is definitely in our future.”
