Mickey Rourke has been flying under the radar since his expulsion from “Celebrity Big Brother UK.”
The boxer, 72, made a rare public appearance as he stepped outside his Beverly Hills, Calif., home on Aug. 11, four months after he was kicked off the British reality show for making offensive comments about JoJo Siwa.
Rourke looked disheveled in a baggy, unzipped grey hoodie that exposed his tattoo-filled chest. He also wore a pair of lime green athletic pants and white sneakers.
The “Rainmaker” actor’s hair, which used to be thick and dark, looked thin and white.
He emerged from his home through the front door to speak to a technician from Premium Termite & Pest Control for about an hour before retreating back inside.
Rourke looked visibly different from the way he did just a few months ago when he was on TV.
Back in 2009, he admitted to undergoing plastic surgery because of his boxing career.
“Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together,” he told the Daily Mail at the time. “I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.”
Rourke continued: “I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn’t healing properly. That was one of the most painful operations, but the worst was haemorrhoids.”
Rourke made headlines in April for bad behavior that got him thrown off “Celebrity Big Brother UK.”
During his time in the house, Rourke made controversial comments about fellow houseguest Siwa’s sexuality. He also called “Love Island UK” alum Chris Hughes a “c–t” and British reality star Ella Rae Wise an “old bag.”
Rourke was called into the Diary Room and scolded by the show’s producers for his “threatening and aggressive” language and behavior.
“I did wrong. I apologize. I’m sorry,” Rourke said in the Diary Room. “I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry.”
The Oscar nominee also said he was “ashamed” of himself, as the show informed him they had “no option” but to oust him from the house. He apologized to Siwa, 22, before his exit.
In an exclusive interview with The Post in May, Siwa said she supported the show’s decision to eject Rourke.
“I think a lot of people argue that he should have gone earlier,” the “Dance Moms” alum stated. “I do agree with the producer’s decision. I genuinely don’t know if the producers chose to evict him or if he said, ‘I’m leaving.’ I don’t know how that went down.”
“When he did leave the house, it just felt like a cloud was lifted,” added Siwa, who finished the season in third place. “It just didn’t feel stressful anymore.”
