Meghan Trainor’s lips are movin’ with her latest reveal.
The singer, 31, and her husband, Daryl Sabara, admitted they took the weight loss drug Mounjaro together. The drug is an FDA-approved prescription medication for people with type 2 diabetes, but it can also aid in losing weight.
“We did 75 Hard after [our son] Riley was born and, man, did we crush,” Sabara, 32, said on the recent episode of their “Working On It” podcast.
Trainor added that afterward, the couple, who tied the knot in 2018, “heard more and more of our friends – and even our doctors – were on Mounjaro and Ozempic.”
The hitmaker added that while she knew she could shed the pounds on her own, she “did the research, and I felt safe.” The artist then opted for Mounjaro.
“So, I did it, too,” Sabara chimed in, to which his wife sweetly replied, “Daryl and I both do everything together.”
Explaining the process of taking the drug to listeners, Trainor and the “Spy Kids” alum shared they are on the lowest dose and worked out while eating balanced meals.
“We were like, ‘We have to make sure we don’t lose muscle, that we worked so hard gaining all those years,’” continued Trainor. “And we stay in the gym, we work out, we eat right. And we just noticed that we were less hungry.”
“I feel amazing,” she gushed. “Like this thing is incredible. And I have no shame being on it and talking about it.”
In March, Trainor took to her Instagram to address the speculation that she was using weight loss medication after taking home the Hitmaker Award at Billboard’s 2025 Women in Music.
“No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago,” she wrote. “I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me. I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”
Trainor concluded, “Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first. Let’s keep shifting the convo to what REALLY matters.”
Many fans applauded the star’s candidness, with one follower writing, “You’re an icon. Thank you for being so honest!”
A second social media user chimed in, “Thank you for saying out loud and proud about Mounjaro! I also use tirzepatide and it’s because of this drug that I will live longer and be healthier for my kids— I am so thankful! Congratulations on your award!”
While talking to Entertainment Tonight on the Billboard carpet that night, Trainor, who is mom to sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 1, credited science to her slimmer figure.
“Science is the secret. I love it,” she confessed. “I learned a lot of tricks that I had no idea [about]. I was working out so incorrectly wrong for so long. I was running and doing cardio and my body was inflamed, always.”
“I’m trying to bio-hack my body. So anything that’ll help me age backward, I’m into it.”
Trainor is no stranger to openly talking about her weight loss journey. Back in November 2022, the Grammy winner revealed she had shed 60 pounds following the birth of her first son.
“I learned that I do like healthy food and I learned what portions mean. And I learned my brain is so happy when I exercise, so I’m just [feeling] better than ever,” she said.
In March, Trainor shared she underwent a breast augmentation after “having two kids, living a healthier lifestyle and losing weight.”
Along with embarking on a health and wellness journey together, Trainor and Sabara also have his-and-hers toilets in the same bathroom.
“We just got a new house and we did construction — nobody knows this — but in our bathroom, there was one toilet,” she shared on their podcast in 2021. “A lot of times in the middle of the night when we’re with the baby, we gotta pee at the same time. So I was like, ‘Can we please have two toilets next to each other?’”
Trainor later explained the intent of the matching toilets, writing on X, “To clear things up…we pooped ONCE together and we laughed and said never again…but he will hang out with me if I’m [poop]ing cuz WE SOULMATES. And i legit miss him when I’m away from him. And we pee together obvi.”
