Bethenny Frankel is spilling royal tea.
While appearing on “The Toast” podcast last week, Frankel, 55, claimed that Meghan Markle’s ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, knew she’d marry Prince Harry as soon as their romance began.
Frankel recalled that she briefly dated Engelson, 49, after they met in the lobby of Chicago’s Soho House in 2016, the same year Markle, 44, started dating Harry, 41.
“He said his ex was a woman from a show called ‘Suits.’ I didn’t know what the show was. I didn’t know the woman,” the Skinnygirl founder told host Claudia Oshry.
“Months later, I see pictures showing Harry’s dating someone and texted him to be like, ‘Is this your ex?’” Frankel remembered. “And he’s like, ‘Yup.’”
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum claimed she asked Engelson, “Do you think she’s going to close?”
Engelson, confident Markle would become Harry’s wife at the time, allegedly told Frankel: “Oh, she’ll close.”
“I don’t want to get into more about that,” Frankel added, “but he was like, ‘She’ll close.’”
The Post has reached out to reps for Engelson and Markle for comment.
The Duchess of Sussex began dating Engelson, a film producer, in 2004. They got married in Jamaica in August 2011 but split two years later. They were divorced in 2014.
The exes have not spoken about each other publicly since their split.
Engelson got remarried to Tracey Kurland, a nutritionist and the daughter of a multimillionaire banker, in May 2019. They share three children.
Markle got engaged to Harry in 2017, and they tied the knot the following year at Windsor Castle. In January 2020, the couple quit their jobs as senior royals and moved from the United Kingdom to America, which caused a falling out with Harry’s family.
They now live in a $14 million mansion in Montecito, Calif. with their son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4.
On “The Toast,” Frankel shared her feelings about Markle and how the “Suits” alum has handled her post-royal life.
“I thought she was wonderful. It was so great for the monarch. I liked the message, all the things,” Frankel noted, adding that she has disagreed with the couple’s “decisions” since moving to the US.
“Through the Netflix, through them trying to put 50 pounds of s–t in a 5-pound bag. It just seemed like had they been managed properly or really been strategic, like played chess, it would’ve such a different outcome,” she stated.
Frankel also weighed in on the drama over the Sussexes allegedly forcing Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner to delete pictures of them from Jenner’s recent star-studded 70th birthday party.
“Meghan is trying to be so many different things,” Frankel said. “And I just don’t think that she herself is fully aware of who she is. It’s very difficult to be front and center at the Kardashian 70th party and then also be many of the things she wants to be.”
