Hot for Harry; mad for Meghan.

Over six years into their marriage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are as loved-up as ever, according to a former colleague.

“They are so hot for each other,” one person who worked closely with them said in a Vanity Fair report published on Friday. “Like, you know how you meet those couples where you’re like, the way they’re looking at each other, I should probably not be here right now?”

That love is also on display in how Harry, 40, interacts with Meghan, 43, when the pair are in public and staring down the “circus” that engulfs them.

“He’s so protective of her because people are so nasty to her,” the insider added.

“It’s a whole different experience” in contrast to the “personable” and “at ease” person Harry is in private, according to the source.

The prince has often spoke about his protective feelings towards Meghan, feelings he has said are motivated by the similarities he sees between his wife and his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and how they’ve been treated by the press.

“My deepest fear is history repeating itself,” Harry said via a statement in 2019, alluding to Diana’s 1997 death in a Paris tunnel amid a paparazzi chase.

“I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.”

By all accounts, Harry and Meghan, who began dating in the summer of 2016, fell in love quickly, exchanging their first “I love you’s” just three months into their relationship, according to the book “Finding Freedom.”

“When did I know she was ‘The One?’ The very first time we met,” Harry said in the couple’s post-engagement interview with the BBC in November 2017.

The pair tied the knot in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle to much fanfare.

They share two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

In a 2022 conversation about the business ventures she and “H” (as Meghan likes to call Harry) choose to take on, the former actress explained that they lead with love.

“So much of how my husband and I see things is through our love story,” Meghan told Variety.

“I think that’s what people around the world connected to, especially with our wedding. People love love. I’m not excluded in that sentiment.”
