Meghan Markle is opting to keep her personal memoir โin her back pocketโ should she need it later โfor revenge,โ according to a royal expert.
Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex, 43,ย was said to have been planning to expand on the mental health struggles she faced during her time in the palace in a tell-all book.
While thereโs been no official word from the Sussex camp, royal correspondent and commentator Jennie Bond believes that the โSuitsโ alum could use the project to her advantage in the future.
โItโs more than two years since she gave that interview, and she has steered clear of controversy about the royal family since,โ Bond told OK!
โObviously, the journal she mentioned will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge.โ
Bond continued, โBut she has behaved with discretion and dignity ever since Oprah and the documentary series. I think she is looking forwards, not backwards and is moving on with her life. So I donโt think we should be raising false alarms about any potential memoir.โ
The Post has reached out to Markleโs reps for comment.
Markle previously revealed she hadย battled suicidal thoughtsย during life as a royal in the UK, andย briefly touched on her experience againย in a CBS interview in August.
Rumors ofย Markleโs tell-all bookย have been swirling ever since Harryโs bombshell memoir โSpareโ hit shelves in January 2023.
The explosive book, which left no stone unturned about the dukeโs time at the Firm, became theย fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time.
However, despite the reports, a source familiar with the coupleโs projects has denied the claims.
It wouldnโt be Markleโs first written project if the rumors are true.
The duo, who wed in 2018, signed a lucrative four-book deal with Penguin Random House in 2021.
Markleย became a published authorย after releasing her childrenโs book, โThe Bench,โ that same year.
Since then, sheโs gone on to release the podcast, โArchetypesโ (which was scrapped by Spotify in June 2023 after 12 episodes) as well as a lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which has yet to be launched.
