The fans aren’t buying Meghan Markle’s latest video.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, came under fire after sharing a black-and-white clip of her celebration with bestie Kelly McKee Zajfen following the Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series win against the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday night — a moment some are calling “staged.”
The clip, which Markle shared to her Instagram Stories, showed the former actress shrieking with excitement and jumping up and down before rushing over to kiss a disappointed-looking Prince Harry.
Zajfen, meanwhile, reposted Markle’s video to her own Instagram Story alongside a short message for the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex.
“Best game ever! Sorry H your team didn’t win but mine did,” the former model wrote, revealing that Harry is a Blue Jays fan. “Dodgers I LOVE YOU!”
However, the As Ever founder’s critics quickly rushed to social media to slam Markle for “staging” her World Series celebration clip with Zajfen and Harry.
“Looks so fake,” one person wrote on X. “Staged.”
“She is so fake!” added another.
“Cameras constantly filming every moment,” commented another skeptical X user, while a fourth shared, “Why are they filming this?”
“This is irritating to see. Fake AF. Of course it was NOT staged because, you know, the camera was perfectly positioned to capture everyone,” added another suspicious user. “Oh my gosh! Look how happy we are and so into each other. See, we have a friend and it’s not my bottle of wine.”
Markle and Harry previously landed in hot water last week when they were spotted at Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Photos and video of the couple at Dodger Stadium showed them seated together in the first row, while sports legends like Magic Johnson and Sandy Koufax sat behind the royal pair.
Johnson holds a 2.3 percent stake in the Dodgers, and Koufax pitched for the legendary MLB team for 12 seasons.
“Those two nobodies sat in FRONT of Koufax?” one X user claimed. “Someone paid someone off.”
“How did these grifters get better seats than Koufax?!” asked another.
“Seating them in front of Sandy Koufax seems inappropriate for the occasion,” commented a third. “Also, as part of Canada’s royal family, shouldn’t Prince Harry be sporting a Blue Jays cap?”
Despite the online criticism, both Markle and Harry were seen sharing a friendly chat with Koufax. They also took a group photo with Johnson and his wife of 33 years, Cookie.
Later on in the game that saw the Blue Jays beat the Dodgers 6 to 2, fans in the audience reportedly booed the Netflix stars as they were shown on the stadium’s Jumbotron.
“Nice to hear the crowd booing them,” one person wrote on TikTok after watching the video.
“They both look like they haven’t a clue what is going on,” added another.
“Game just got markled,” joked a third.
