Itβs time to get a clue about who is voicing Maggie Simpson come Sunday night.
On the upcoming episode of βThe Simpsons,β titled βParahormonal Activity,β Lindsay Lohan is playing the youngest daughter.
The sneak peak, posted to Instagram on Friday, showed a flash-forward scene of the family talking in the kitchen.
Maggie is about to speak up when Marge stated: βMaggie, Maggie, rest your voice! Youβre still getting over that laryngitis!β
βPlease donβt let Bart drive!β Margeβs daughter yelled anyways. βItβs too scary! He drives so wiggly, and everybody honks at us and yells bad words and shows us fingers!β
Against his wishes, Bart handed over the keys.
βCatch me on #TheSimpsons this Sunday on Fox!β Lohan, 39, gushed on her own Instagram post. βWhat a dream come true to be part of this iconic family.β
Maggie typically doesnβt talk, except for sucking on her pacifier and occasionally grunting.
Whenever the youngest animated family member needs to speak, she is voiced by Nancy Cartwright, who is also Bart Simpson.
Over the years, the writers have had Maggie communicate in alternate reality episodes, dream sequences, or flash-forward moments.
Other iconic stars who have voiced Maggie over the years include: Elizabeth Taylor, Viola Davis, Jodie Foster, James Earl Jones and Kevin Michael Richardson.
Meanwhile, Cartwright, 68, has voicedΒ the eldest child of Homer and MargeΒ sinceΒ the showβs premiereΒ on Fox in 1989.
In November 2024, the actress revealed she hopes the beloved sitcomΒ continues forΒ anotherΒ 37 seasons.
βI think I would just like to actually make that target that weβve done 40,β Cartwrighr told The Post at the time. βThat would be incredible. And that weβre all still alive. Wouldnβt that be amazing?β
Having been on the air for 36 years, the Hollywood vet has seen the show reach a whole new generation.
βIβm constantly amazed,β mused Cartwright. βWeβve got this new energy thatβs behind βThe Simpsonsβ right now and weβve got these eight year olds and they marathon watch. 10 year olds marathon watched it when they were seven, eight, nine years old. So weβve got a huge new public. So, thatβs exciting.β
The βKim Possibleβ alum added that βto just watch it and be a fan of the showβ is a βthrill.β
Cartwright also confirmed that the writers listen to the fandom.
βI think any writer is kind of looking for stuff like that,β she confessed about online theories. βA writer is somebody that observes life. They see whatβs out there and again, with the internet there are so many ideas that are available. Somebody will hook onto something and next thing you know, they hook it into a show!β
Throughout the years, viewers have also watched countless episodes that eerilyΒ predicted the future.
βI think those predictions are a numbers game,β Cartwright confessed. βThis is just my opinion. I think itβs a numbers game. You have twenty plus writers, and they just think of these ideas that you go, βThat would never happen.β Itβs like blackjack or itβs like poker. Itβs just a numbers game.β
She cheekily noted, βWho knew Trump would be President, again! Itβs like, wow!β
Yeardley Smith, who voices Marge, also chimed in that she was amazed at how that prediction came true β twice!
βTrump as President,β Smith concurred to the Post. βI do know the story was that they were β as βThe Simpsonsβ do β like who would be the most ridiculous President ever? Whether or not you voted for him, that was the thinking.β
The actress added, βWe predicted it long before it happened so I donβt even think he was thinking about politics. He was doing βThe Apprentice.β Thatβs the one that stands out the most.β
