Liev Schreiber was spotted out in New York City on Wednesday, days after he was rushed to the hospital due to a mysterious health scare.
The actor, 58, wore a blue beanie with a matching sweater, a black shirt and pants. Schreiber sported a scruffy beard while with his wife, Taylor Neisen, whom he tied the knot with in 2023.
She wore jeans, a sweater and yellow beanie as she walked their dog.
On Thursday, the “Ray Donovan” alum was seen keeping a low profile while walking in Soho. This time, Schreiber opted for a blue sweater with a brown corduroy jacket, tan corduroy pants and a green baseball cap. He held a brown CVS bag as he walked through the streets chatting with neighbors.
At one point, Schreiber stopped to get a haircut.
The “Perfect Couple” star’s stroll around the Big Apple comes five days after he was said to have suffered a massive headache on Sunday, per TMZ. Schreiber’s doctor then advised him to go to the hospital immediately.
Schreiber reportedly stayed overnight and doctors ran a series of tests.
It is still unknown what caused the “Scream” vet’s headache, but insiders told TMZ that his ability to walk and speak were not affected.
Schreiber has yet to speak out publicly about his hospitalization.
Last year, the Tony winner opened up about being diagnosed with the rare condition transient global amnesia.
The condition is considered rare but “harmless,” per the Cleveland Clinic. It causes a sudden episode of memory loss but resolves within 24 hours without medical intervention.
Schreiber received his diagnosis while starring in “Doubt: A Parable” on Broadway.
“The worst nightmare that an actor could possibly ever experience,” the star said while on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in April 2024. “I was in my dressing room and I had a terrible headache. I thought it was maybe a fast-food headache, but it felt a little stronger than that.”
He continued, “I’m walking down the stairs and I’m thinking, ‘This is not normal. I don’t feel okay.’”
While backstage, Schreiber forgot his co-star Amy Ryan’s name, prompting him to realize “something was really wrong.”
“It all vanishes,” he explained about forgetting his lines. “The play is gone from my head…I know I’m in a play, but I don’t know what play I’m in.”
Schreiber’s doctor quickly came over.
“He had a terrified expression,” he recalled. “My wife shows up, and she looks terrified. I think, ‘Okay, I’ve had a stroke. This is it.’”
Schreiber still feels that, despite his diagnosis, he suffered a stroke.
“The guy said, ‘You’ll never have this again and it’ll be gone in 8 to 24 hours,’ which I didn’t believe. You know, as a typical sort of Jewish hypochondriac person, I’m convinced that I had a stroke and they just didn’t find it.”
Nevertheless, when Schreiber woke up the next day he remembered “the whole play.”
“I never had another problem with it. I was embarrassed and thought everyone would think I was lying and taking a night off from the theater,” he said.
Schreiber has continued to work since his diagnosis, starring in the hit 2025 movie “Caught Stealing” and the animated action series “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch.”
He has also been a vocal advocate for his daughter, Kai, 16, whom he shares with ex Naomi Watts, after she came out as transgender.
The exes are also parents to son Sasha, 18.
“Kai was always who Kai is,” Schreiber told Variety in May. “But I suppose the most profound moment was her asking us to change her pronouns.”
In March, Kai made her model runway debut for Valentino during Paris Fashion Week. For the “Spotlight” alum, his daughter coming out as transgender “didn’t feel like that big of a deal to me.”
“Only because Kai had been so feminine for so long,” he explained.
“Kai is such a fighter,” Schreiber, who shares daughter Hazel with Neisen, said. “It’s important that she goes, ‘Hey, I am trans,’ and, ‘Look at me,’ and, ‘F – – k you. F – – k off.’”
Concluding his message, the actor told the outlet: “A trans teen is going to be a teen. They’re such a pain in the ass so much of the time, and Kai is as feisty and outspoken as they come.”
