Lavish Leo.

Leonardo DiCaprio got roasted at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night for his recent yacht excursion with Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Host Chelsea Handler took aim at DiCaprio during her opening monologue, joking about how the Oscar winner had to miss the Palm Springs International Film Festival the night before due to travel restrictions related to the US airstrikes on Venezuela.

“Leo almost didn’t make it tonight because he was trapped on a boat in St. Barts,” Handler, 50, said.

“It was just like the Titanic, but worse … because Jeff Bezos was there,” she quipped.

The camera flashed to DiCaprio laughing along with the rest of the audience.

Handler’s jab at DiCaprio got a big reaction from viewers on social media.

“She ate this one thing,” one fan wrote on X.

“The best joke of the night,” someone else tweeted.

On Reddit, a person wrote, “Roast him harder next time, Chelsea.”

“This man needs to be clowned on like this more for being an ‘environmentalist’ while being buddies with Jeff Bezos,” someone else wrote.

“Leo just relieved its not a dating under 25 joke,” another fan quipped.

A different person defended DiCaprio, writing, “Leo never squirms. At least he also has the balls to show up and take the jokes.”

“Leo actually doesn’t seem to mind being roasted,” someone else insisted.

DiCaprio was up for the Critics Choice Award for Best Actor for his role in “One Battle After Another,” but he lost to “Marty Supreme” star Timothée Chalamet. “One Battle After Another,” however, took home best picture.

A few days before the award show, DiCaprio was spotted on a $250 million superyacht off the coast of St. Barts with his 27-year-old girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, Bezos and Bezos’ wife, Lauren Sánchez.

DiCaprio sported a basic white T-shirt, shorts and sunglasses in the photos.

On New Year’s Day, DiCaprio and Ceretti enjoyed another yacht ride with Tom Brady after the former NFL star’s romantic rendezvous with influencer Alix Earle.

DiCaprio ended up getting stuck in St. Barts due to the tensions between the US and Venezuela and had to miss the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards gala on Saturday, where he was set to accept a Desert Palm Achievement Award honoring his performance in “One Battle After Another.”

“Leonardo DiCaprio is unable to join us in person tonight due to unexpected travel disruptions and restricted airspace,” a spokesperson for the festival said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.

“While we will miss celebrating with him in person, we are honored to recognize his exceptional work and lasting contributions to cinema. His talent and dedication to the craft continue to inspire, and we are delighted to celebrate him with the Desert Palm Achievement Award this evening,” the statement added.

DiCaprio ultimately accepted the award in a prerecorded video presented by his co-stars Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti.

“I wish I was there to celebrate with all of you. I’m truly grateful to be a part of it, even from the distance,” he said.

“Movies are still meant to be experienced together, in a theater. Right now, that belief matters more than ever,” the actor continued. “Original films are harder to make and harder to protect. But movies still matter — not content, but cinema. Stories made by people meant to be shared in a dark room in a communal experience.”
