Lara Spencer is on the mend!

The “Good Morning America” co-anchor, 55, revealed why she’s been absent from the program this week — and it has to do with a painful health battle.

Spencer took to social media on Wednesday, Dec. 11, and got real with her followers. Posting one photo showing both of her feet all bandaged up, the beloved TV host announced she underwent double surgery.

“If I look a little groggy it’s thanks to this guy who just gave me a new pair of boots (frame 2-wish they were cowboy boots but that will come in about 6 weeks hopefully),” she captioned the photos, which included another of Spencer smiling with her surgeon.

She explained that one surgery was to reverse an operation she had previously, while the other was to repair an old injury from college.

“My right foot was easy-just had plate removed from surgery last year,” Spencer wrote. “The left is a bigger deal from a very old college diving injury. I was doing a reverse one and a half and hit the board, shattering toes and joints.”

The morning show veteran continued, “Back then they said there was nothing you could do except tape it, let it heal, and live with the pain,” before singing her doctor’s praises and cracking a joke.

“Today there are much better options, thanks to surgeons like Dr Marty O’Malley at HSS,” she added. “These boots were made for walkin……”
