Kate Middleton and Prince William have unlocked a new level of intimacy in their relationship following the princess’ tough battle with cancer, according to a new report.
The Princess of Wales, 43, has recently revealed that her cancer is now in “remission,” after what’s been a challenging year for her and the family.
But it seems as though the obstacles the Wales family was forced to endure have brought the Prince and Princess of Wales even closer together, according to a palace source.
“For the princess, family — her husband and children — are more important than anything else,” a royal insider told People.
The source added that the mom of three is now “more open” with her husband, and the duo “talk about their relationship together.”
According to royal historian and writer Dr. Amanda Foreman, the couple have shown more intimacy than ever over the past year.
“They feel they are very lucky to be married to each other. Their marriage is strong, and they are being honest about it,” she told the outlet.
Elsewhere, royal biographer Ingrid Seward told the outlet that the future king “must feel so fortunate” that his wife is now cancer-free.
“He wants to tell the world about that love,” she said. “It shows the intimacy of them sharing that journey together.”
“They are able to express themselves in a way they would never have done before,” Seward added.
While Middleton’s cancer is in remission, it doesn’t mean she’s looking to dive back into public-facing duties in full swing just yet.
Instead, Princess Catherine will ease into the year by taking on a fraction of the workload she would typically have on her calendar.
Currently, the princess’ diary does not include any full-scale foreign tours, and it will be a while before she returns to the royal fold in full — given that her cancer recovery remains on track.
Still, the public can expect to see the beloved future queen attend key events, such as the Trooping the Colour ceremony, which is her “No. 1 priority” among royal engagements.
Senior members of the Firm are reportedly currently throwing their hats in the ring to be considered for a trip to the US following President Trump’s inauguration.
Plans are currently being drawn up for the Firm’s highest-ranking members to make the trans-Atlantic trip to help the UK boost its relations with the US, palace sources told the Times of London.
While talks are currently at an early stage, insiders claim the trip will most likely take place in 2026.
