The women of โCharmedโ are remembering their late co-star.
Julian McMahon, who died at age 56 on Wednesday after a private battle with cancer, starred as the half-demon Cole Turner on the drama, which ran from 1998 to 2006.
The show followed three sisters, Piper Halliwell (Holly Marie Combs), Prue Halliwell (Shannen Doherty), and Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano), who discover they are witches.
Doherty, who played Prue in the first three seasons of the series, died last July at age 53 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
After the โBeverly Hills, 90210โ starโs departure from the show, Rose McGowan played their half sister Paige Matthews.
Following the news of McMahonโs death, Combs, 51, Milano, 52, and McGowan, 51, all took to social media to share their goodbyes to the legendary actor.
โIโm heartbroken,โ Milano, who was McMahonโs on-screen love interest, said on Instagram. โJulian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He walked into a room and lit it upโnot just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding.โ
The โMelrose Placeโ actress went on to remember working alongside the โFantastic Fourโ star on the WB hit.
โWe spent years together on Charmedโyears of scenes, stories, and so many in-between moments. He made me feel safe as an actor. Seen as a woman. He challenged me, teased me, supported me. We were so different, and yet somehow we always understood each other,โ continued Milano.
โJulian was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend. The kind who checks in. The kind who remembers. The kind who shares. The kind who tells you the truth, even when itโs uncomfortableโbut always with love.โ
Giving a nod to McMahonโs family, Milano concluded, โMy heart is with Kelly, with Madison, and with Ilianaโhis girls, his world. He adored them. You could feel it in every conversation, every story, every text. He was a family man above all, and he loved deeply.โ
โLosing him feels unreal. Too soon. Too unfair. Rest, my friend. Iโll carry your laugh with me. Forever Cole. Forever Julian.โ
Milanoโs heartbreaking words were accompanied by a slew of photos of her and McMahon, both on and off the air.
Combs also shared a touching sentiment, posting a sweet montage from their time on โCharmed,โ which included a group shot with Brian Krause, who played Leo, and two photos of McMahon and Doherty.
โOne of a kind is an understatement,โ the โPretty Little Liarsโ alum penned on Instagram Thursday. โYour unyielding zest for life and crazy making sense of humor will be sorely missed. The joy and laughter you were the direct cause of will always be remembered. I hope you find our lady friend and dance in those rose petals.โ
Combs also shared clips of McMahon as Cole on her Instagram Stories, simply putting: โRip My favorite pain in the ass ever.โ
Krause, 56, took to his own Instagram page to pay tribute.
โSad day for our Charmed family!โ he said alongside a headshot of McMahon. โJulian was one of the funniest, devilishly handsome and kind souls! Prayers to his family and close friends!ย He will surely be missed!โ
McGowan, meanwhile, re-posted a drawing of the โNip/Tuckโ star with angel wings, writing, โOh Julian, you force of brilliance, wild talent and humor. For you, your family and loving fans all over the world, I pray comfort.โ
The โJawbreakerโ vet also shared a second re-post of Krauseโs tribute, captioning it, โCharmed family loves you.โ
โGoodbye Julian,โ McGowan added with a broken heart emoji in her third Instagram Story.
McMahonโs wife, Kelly Paniagua, confirmed the devastating news of his passing in aย statement to the New York Post on Saturday.
She revealed that her husband died in Clearwater, Florida, after fighting the disease.
โWith an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,โ Paniagua said. โJulian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.โ
She concluded her message with a call to the public, stating, โWe ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.โ
