Apparently, it ends after one movie.
The rumored feud between βIt Ends With Usβ stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has left plans for a possible sequel in doubt, according to a Variety report published Tuesday.
βThis is uncharted territory, and nobody has any idea of what a sequel could look like,β a source who is βfamiliar with the situationβ said to the outlet.
βThereβs probably no world where these two will work together again,β they added of Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 40.
Multiple sources confirmed toΒ VarietyΒ that βthe bad bloodβ between the stars βis very real and the relationship may not be salvageable.β
The Post has not heard back from reps for Lively or Baldoni.
The pair played the lead roles in the film adaptation of Colleen Hooverβs best-selling book. Baldoni directed the project and produced it via his company, Wayfarer Studios.
Lively was also a producer on the movie.
Hoover, 44, wrote a sequel to βIt Ends With Usβ called βIt Starts With Usβ that continues the story of Livelyβs character, Lily Bloom.
Baldoniβs character, Ryle Kincaid, has a small role in the sequel β but as Variety pointed out, Baldoni owns the rights to both of Hooverβs books, which would make it difficult for Lively to take on the sequel without his involvement.
Despite their rumored feud, Baldoni said at the filmβs New York premiere earlier this month that he thinks Lively would be better suited to adapt βIt Starts With Us.β
βI think that there are better people for that one,β he told βEntertainment Tonightβ. βI thinkΒ Blake Livelyβs ready to direct, thatβs what I think.β
According to Variety, entertainment industry sources said that the βIt Ends With Usβ sequel would ideally come out within the next two to three years βto sustain audience interest.β
The rumors about Lively and Baldoniβs feud began after they didnβt do any press together. They also watched the movie separately at the New York premiere on Aug. 6.
Baldoni has since hired a crisis public-relations manager while Lively is under fire for her βtone deafβ interview answers about the domestic violence theme of the film.
Itβs been speculated that Lively and Baldoni were at odds over the final cut of the movie, which was reportedly the one that Lively favored.
βThere were two edits and the studio went with a more feminine edit,β a studio insider told Page Six.
In one red carpet interview, Lively revealed that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, wrote the iconic rooftop scene, where Lively and Baldoniβs characters, Lily and Ryle, meet for the first time.
But that was allegedly news to Baldoni, according to Varietyβs sources, who said the βJane the Virginβ alum thought Lively βad libbedβ that scene.
Sources previously clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that Reynolds, 47, wrote βa large chunk,β but not the entire scene.Β
βIt Ends With Us,β while being plagued with rumors of behind-the-scenes cast drama, has still been a huge success.
It has grossed over $200 million at the worldwide box office, but because of the Lively-Baldoni drama, that might not be enough to guarantee a sequel.
