Third time’s the charm.
Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, threw a bash for their daughter’s third birthday.
Princess Lilibet was named after Harry’s late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died in 2022 at age 96. The toddler, who was born in 2021, officially turns 30on June 4, but her parents started celebrating early over the weekend at their home in Montecito, California, according to People.
The guest list included family and Lilibet’s friends.
Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born after Harry and Meghan stepped back from official royal duties and relocated to California.
According to Lilibet’s birth announcement, she was named for Elizabeth’s family nickname, and her middle name, Diana, “was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, the Princess of Wales.”
After their grandfather King Charles’ coronation in September 2022, Lilibet and her brother, Archie, 5, were given the titles of prince and princess.
In June 2022, Harry and Markle released a photo of their daughter to celebrate her first birthday, showing the world that she inherited her father’s red hair.
The birthday portrait was only the second photo the couple had released of their daughter; she was earlier featured on the family Christmas card as a baby.
Lilibet met the queen before her death, but reportedly didn’t get a photo with her.
At the time, there were contradictory claims about the lack of a photo.
Reports from multiple outlets claim Harry and Markle wanted their personal photographer to take happy snaps of the queen and Lilibet — but were shut down. According to one anonymous source, they were told, “No chance,” the Sun originally reported. “It was a private family event.”
However, a source with knowledge of the situation debunked that claim to The Post.
“They just enjoyed a private and intimate visit with the queen,” the source said, adding that Harry and Markle didn’t even bother asking for photos as the queen wasn’t feeling well at the time.
During Harry and Markle’s recent trip to Nigeria, Markle shared some rare insights into her daughter’s personality.
The Duchess of Sussex told kindergarten students that dance is her toddler’s “favorite class” because of “all the jumping around.”
The former “Suits” star also revealed that their son is interested in “construction.”
On the first day of their tour, Markle also shared an anecdote about her daughter while speaking with students at the Lightway Academy in Abuja.
“Our daughter, Lili — she’s much, much tinier than you guys,” Markle told the students. “She’s about to turn 3. A few weeks ago, she looked at me and she would just see the reflection in my eyes. And she [said,] ‘Mama, I see me in you.’ ”
“Now, she was talking really, literally. But I hung onto those words in a very different way,” she added. “And I thought, yes, I do see me in you, and you see me in you, but as I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”
Meanwhile, Archie turned 5 on May 6, and none of the royals wished him a happy birthday publicly.
