Liam Payne called his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, a “weirdo” and “loser” for leaving Argentina in a chilling video shared just days before his death.
The 31-year-old One Direction alum poked fun at the influencer for ditching their trip to go home on Monday, Oct. 14.
“So it’s going to be a nice day, and then, you’re going home. Ha ha, loser, weirdo,” Payne teased Cassidy in a since-deleted Snapchat video circulating online.
The “Strip That Down” singer seemed to be in a good mood and shared they were having a “lovely day in Argentina.”
She later shared a TikTok of her solo journey back to the States, revealing their trip was only supposed to be five days, but they ended up staying two weeks.
Cassidy said she “needed to go home,” adding she was “so ready to leave” and hates being in one place for too long.
The couple started dating in 2022 and traveled to Buenos Aires earlier this month to attend former One Direction singer Niall Horan’s concert on Oct. 2.
Payne appeared to spiral without Cassidy by his side.
The “Teardrops” singer died on Oct. 16 after falling from his third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires.
Eyewitnesses claim Payne was “acting erratic” in the hotel lobby. He allegedly smashed his computer and had to be carried back to his room before his sudden death.
A hotel guest also claimed they heard “a really loud, violent scream” coming from his hotel room before he plummeted to his death.
The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office said in its report obtained by Page Six that they do not suspect foul play. However, the One Direction star’s death is still under investigation.
Shocking photos from the scene revealed his trashed hotel room, including a smashed TV and drug paraphernalia.
In the 911 call, placed shortly before Payne’s death, the hotel’s frantic chief receptionist begged the operator for “urgent” assistance, reporting the singer was “on drugs and alcohol” and “breaking up the whole room.”
He also expressed fear that Payne would harm himself, noting he had a balcony.
“We need you to send someone urgently because, well, I don’t know if this guest’s life is at risk. They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk,” the receptionist stated.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 5 p.m., but it was too late.
Payne was reportedly dropped by his record label, Universal Music, days before his death. His ex-fiancée, Maya Henry, had recently taken legal action against him, claiming he was obsessively contacting her and her loved ones.
Sources said the singer was “extremely overwhelmed” by the legal mess.
His 1D bandmates — Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson — released joint and individual statements paying tribute to their fallen brother.
“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing,” their joint statement via Instagram read. “In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.”

They continued, “The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever,” the statement continued. “For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam. Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry.”
Payne left behind one child, son Bear, 7, whom she shared with Cheryl Cole.
