The lights are about to go out on Broadway.

On Thursday, July 25, Billy Joel will perform his 150th and final concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

“To our audience, I want to thank them for coming to our shows for this long,” Joel shared at a press conference in 2023. “It’s hard to end (and) I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful thing that’s happened here.”

Leading up to his swan song, the 75-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has made sure to make each show a spectacle.

At his June gig, Phish frontman Trey Anastasio — no stranger to MSG himself — took the stage with Joel to perform his 1980 curio “Sleeping With The Television On,” a section of Derek and the Dominos’ classic “Layla” and a bit of the Piano Man’s “You May Be Right.”

Before that, he was joined by Jerry Seinfeld and Sting in March for his 100th residency concert; last year, Elvis Costello and ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons jammed with Joel.

Who will show up for this last show? What tracks will Billy play?

Unfortunately, we don’t know.

What we do know is that the best way to find out is live.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $633 before fees on Vivid Seats for the bucket list show.

Floor seats start at $1,356 before fees.

For more information, we have everything you need to know and more about Billy Joel’s final MSG concert below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Billy Joel history at MSG

Joel’s history with Madison Square Garden dates back all the way to December 1978 when he played the arena for the first time on the heels of the success of “The Stranger.”

In the 45 years since, Joel performed at the venue over 100 consecutive months since January 2014 and earned MSG’s records for “Most Lifetime Performances By Any Artist,” as well as “Most Consecutive Performances By Any Artist,” according to ABC 7.

Back in 2006, Joel broke the record for “Most Consecutive Performances By Any Artist” at MSG with 12. Soon after, he beat his own record in January 2015.

Three years later, he performed his 100th show at MSG in July 2018. In his honor, former Governor then Andrew Cuomo declared July 18, 2018 “Billy Joel Day” in the State of New York.

Will anyone ever topple Joel’s MSG record?

Well, at the time of publication, here are the five artists — along with the number of times they’ve played at Madison Square Garden — trailing him:

Elton John (76 performances)

Phish (68 performances)

Grateful Dead (52 performances)

Bruce Springsteen (49 performances)

Eric Clapton (37 performances)
