Kelsey Grammer has welcomed another child.
The “Frasier” star, 70, shared the exciting news during an episode of the “Pod Meets World” podcast released on Monday.
While discussing his memoir about his late sister, “Karen: A Brother Remembers,” Grammer revealed that he and his wife, Kayte Walsh, 46, “just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids.”
“It was like three days ago,” the “Cheers” alum shared. “Christopher, that’s just joined the family.”
Grammer and his wife of 13 years already share daughter Faith, 12, and sons Gabriel, 10, and James, 8.
The “X-Men” star also shares daughter Spencer, 41, with his first wife, Doreen Alderman; daughter Greer, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner; and daughter Mason, 23, and son Jude, 20, with his third wife, Camille Meyer.
News first broke that Grammer and his current wife were expecting back in June when the couple was photographed together in London.
Shortly before the pair’s trip to England, Grammer opened up about being a dad to seven and how he was “playing catch-up” with his older kids during an interview with People.
“I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two,” he told the outlet in May. “I’m trying to make up for a little of it now. I’m still their dad, so you can always have a chance to show up.”
However, the multi-Emmy-winner went on to admit that he was working to avoid certain mistakes bringing up his younger kids that he made while raising his older ones.
“I probably should have been a little more clear and maybe less tolerant with the older ones,” he shared. “I’m pretty tolerant with the young ones, but I’m clear about how there are certain expectations and certain ways to navigate through a social situation: keep it close to the vest and play it straight, and you’re going to be well-served in your life.”
“I’m a little more specific with them about doing their studies and being prepared,” Grammer added. “What’s your job in life? Showing up.”
The “Simpsons” voice actor first met Walsh, a former flight attendant, during a flight to London in 2009.
He was still legally married to Meyer at the time, and the demise of the pair’s relationship was documented during Season 1 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
“We actually met in the air on a plane to England,” Grammer told Jimmy Kimmel in 2012 regarding his and Walsh’s first time meeting. “It was very romantic, she was working on the plane.”
“We went out for coffee several days later and had this magical night in the snow in London around Christmas time,” he added. “It was two years ago.”
The couple announced their engagement in December 2010 and tied the knot two months later at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
