Olandria Carthen is sharing the secret behind her and Nic Vansteenberghe’s lasting relationship.
The couple, famously dubbed Nicolandria, first met on Day 1 of “Love Island USA” Season 7 last year.
Although Carthen was initially coupled with Taylor Williams and Vansteenberghe with Belle-A Walker, the pair officially coupled up during the final week of the season.
Despite becoming fan favorites at the villa, Carthen and Vansteenberghe finished as runner-ups behind Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales when Season 7 came to an end in July 2025.
But unlike Espinal and Arenales, who split in August, Nicolandria is going stronger than ever.
“I really feel like me and Nic decided to prioritize our own solo careers first,” Carthen, 27, said in an exclusive interview with The Post on the Golden Globes 2026 red carpet. “We’ve been into the whole Nicolandria relationship thing at first with Nic’s Kulani Kinis.”
Kulani Kinis is an Australian swimwear brand that Vansteenberghe has modeled for since before his time on “Love Island.”
Following their time on the hit reality dating competition, Vansteenberghe and Carthen became the faces of a major campaign for the brand called Kulani Kinis x Nic.
“But even within that, although we support each other there, we also support each other as far as his solo career,” Carthen continued. “So I really feel like that’s why we’re so successful. We continue to prioritize our solo careers, as well as our relationship.”
The model-turned-reality TV star added that she and Vansteenberghe have their “own identities” outside of Nicolandria, and that they’re “doing an amazing job” keeping it that way.
Elsewhere, Carthen revealed what she has planned for 2026 now that she is no longer at the villa and competing on “Love Island” in Fiji.
“A lot more carpet appearances, for sure,” the model told The Post, adding that she “would love” to take a “deep dive into some acting” as well as a project focused just on Nicolandria.
As for the many movies and TV shows competing at this year’s award show, Carthen shared that she only had the opportunity to see “Sinners” before flying off to the South Pacific to shoot “Love Island” Season 7.
The Ryan Coogler-directed horror film starring Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld was nominated for seven Golden Globes. It won for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement and Best Original Score.
“Honestly, before I left, I think the only thing I got to watch was ‘Sinners,’” Carthen said. “That was an amazing movie. I watched it at a rooftop cinema.”
“Once I got back out, I’ve been so busy, I haven’t really had the time to really digest it,” she added.
