Billy Ray Cyrus shared a steamy photo on Wednesday of him kissing girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley, the latest public display of affection in their unexpected romance.
The couple went Instagram official on Easter, each posting the same photo of Cyrus, 63, kissing Hurley, 59, on the cheek.
Their newest photo is their most amorous to date. In the snap, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, dressed in cowboy boots, light-wash bootcut jeans, a tan casual shirt and a brown cowboy hat, locks lips with the “Bedazzled” actress as they stand on a woody trail.
Hurley, wearing camel-colored ankle boots, a white midi-length summer dress and sunglasses, wraps her arms around her beau’s waist as she angles her head up for the kiss.
Cyrus captioned the photo with only a heart emoji, while the “Gossip Girl” alum commented, “❤you xx.”
Her son, 23-year-old model Damian Hurley, gave the pic his stamp of approval, writing, “Awwww ❤️.” He was equally supportive of his mom when she announced her relationship with Cyrus, commenting on the Easter day post, “🥳♥️.”
Not everyone has been as supportive. Some of Hurley’s pals — to say nothing of her and Cyrus’ fans — are bewildered by the pairing.
“Liz’s friends think it must be a joke or madness, but they aren’t saying it to her,” a source recently told Page Six. “Elton may not understand this relationship, and is a bit bemused by it. But for all his faults, Elton is really loyal to Liz.”
One friend insisted that, despite some head-scratching from others in the actress’ inner circle, the couple’s romance is very much real.
“This is not a hoax,” the friend told Page Six. “Liz is not a hoaxy person; she’s very sincere, very bright and I think she likes him.”
Referring to their Easter Day Instagram announcement, the insider added, “Just look at the photo of them together — she looks happy! People are so quick to be mean.”
Cyrus recently opened up about his relationship with Hurley during an interview on “The Ty Bentli Show.”
The country star revealed that they met on the set of their movie “Christmas in Paradise” not long after he separated from his second ex-wife, Tish Cyrus, in April 2022.
Despite their immediate connection, they wouldn’t speak again until two years later when the “Words By Heart” crooner was dealing with his 2024 divorce from his third wife, Johanna “Firerose” Hodges.
In the midst of the nasty split, Cyrus received a text from a number he didn’t recognize, which he recalled reading something along the lines of, “Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner.”
When he texted back asking, “Who is this?” the answer was Elizabeth Hurley.
The photo Cyrus shared Wednesday appears to be making good on a promise he gave to Ty Bentli on his podcast, assuring the host that there were more PDA pics in the pipeline.
“There will be one coming where she’s kissing me because people have been saying, ‘Why’s he always kissing her?’ Unfortunately when I see her, when she puts her cheek out there, I don’t know what happens, I just kiss it,” he explained.
In addition to his ex-wives, Tish and Firerose, Cyrus was also married to Cindy Smith. The pair tied the knot in 1986 but called it quits in 1991.
The star shares daughters Miley, Noah, and Brandi, as well as sons Trace and Braison with Tish. Cyrus is also father to son Christopher Cody from a previous relationship.
For her part, Hurley was married to businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2011. She had her son Damian with her former boyfriend, Steve Bing, who died in 2020.
